There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Good afternoon fellow RT riders
Ok here is my problem. A friend is moving out of state and offered me his Nomad motorcycle trailer. I have a 2012 RTS and no trailer hitch on the bike. I looked and there are a couple of options. I believe that the show chrome hitch is about half the cost. Now for the question is anyone out there towing a Mini Nomad trailer with a 2012 RTS and if so what did you do about wiring the trailer up to the bike ??? Thanks for any and all that respond.:doorag:

I pulled a nomad trailer with my 12 & my 13 RT using an aftermarket Hitch, the wiring is available from one of our sponsors on Spyderlovers i believe.

Just a reminder the BRP hitch is a complete kit. Hitch, wiring harness, mudflap and 1/78 ball are all included. You end up with a isolated square 4 plug. The Show Chrome hitch is just a hitch. There is a wiring harness available for about $80, but it is a isolated 5 wire. The mudflap and ball are also available

What I did is buy the Show chrome hitch and built my own plug a play harness. that way I ended up with a more common flat 4 plug. Saved some money in the process.

So it depends on your skills and what you want to tackle.

Go to mini trailers USA on the front page of spyder lovers and call them they have a conector from the trailer 4 flat plug to the square plug that is new wiring from Can Am 4 plug that now they are using. Some members made their own adapters, I think the price was around $20.00

I bought a BRP hitch used from the forum, and the Show Chrome harness from Ebay. Total outlay was about $300, and I got a hitch with the mud flap....
