There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. This is just my experience for those that are interested.

2014 RTS SE6 Timeless Black

Currently 22,600 miles ( I think i am easy on the brakes, don't ride them, use gears etc )

First replacement of front tires, probably could have gone another 2 - 3,000 ? Replaced with stock tires generally 18 lbs psi.

Needed brakes on front, would not have lasted a whole lot longer.

2nd replacement of rear tire, 1st at 5,000, replaced with Kuhmo, also got new Kuhmo this time 28 lbs psi (got 17,600 out of last one and could have gone another 1,500 or so)

Rear brakes were so-so, could have gone another 3,000 or so

4th oil change, 1st at 3,000, 2nd at 10,000, 3rd at 17,000 (air filter replaced at this time), now at 22,600, I think i want to stay in the 6,000 - 6,500 mile range on oil changes. (Always used BRP Summer Synthetic Blend)

Probably the 4,000th bike wash :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:, seems like i wash it as much as i ride it lately.

This is in the "For What Its Worth" category.

and your recommendation for cleaning products, body and windshield???

For the body there are several good cleaners, I like "Honda Pro" cleaner and polish and FW1 High Performance Cleaning Wax with Carnauba, both should be used after Spyder is rinsed off with water and microfiber cloth wiped dry.

Windshield, i use only water and a "Wonder Cloth" it is a very fine cloth that leaves no streaks.

Oil Analysis

Joe,
You've put a lot of miles on that pup! Have you had any oil analysis done? How have you found the traction on the Kuhmo, particularly in the twisties and/or wet? Thanks.

If your going increase the oil change mileage go with a full synthetic motorcycle oil , there are many. Here is a good one and I know people that use it in their RT: http://www.amazon.com/Castrol-06078...qid=1423932093&sr=8-1&keywords=motorcycle+oil

No oil analysis, old oil appears to be clear of debris, Love the Kuhmo, good grip in all situations and long lasting.

 Gee...
For washing "the body", I just use Ivory soap...
How does that Carnauba wax work on your armpits? :D

Thanks Joe, now I have someone to compare with.

I am only at 10K miles so have another 12K to catch up.

Rear tire replaced at 8,900 miles. Fronts still looking good. First oil change at 4,000. Second oil change coming up once I start riding in a couple months or less?

No brake issues yet.

I have not done a hose wash yet. Been keeping it pretty with armor all wipes. Has worked well, but I did pick up a lot of dirt riding on wet roads before I parked it on 11/13. Maybe a hose wash is in order for the maiden voyage of 2015.
Happy, happy, happy with the 2014 RTS.

Thanks for your detailed info...

CRUZR JOE,

Thanks for your detailed info. I will reference it down the road AFTER our weather gets better his Spring!
