• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Non-iPod MP3 player

So, the bike comes with the adapter for an iPod, but does anyone use anything other than iPod? I have music on my phone and an MP3 player. Just wondering what the options are to "pipe" it through the bike's audio system.

you should have gotten two plug ins one for the Ipod type and one for an mp3 player. Ipod id the best because you can control playlists, songs etc from the handlebars.

I got the bike used, and I only see the iPod adapter with it. Hmmm. Might have to use my wife's iPod and put MY music on it. LOL

CJ said it all, although my 2014 RT only had the iPod connector in it, and only the old 30 pin connector (which was OK). You can buy a double stereo connector that will plug into the male connector in your rear trunk...

I might take ya up on that offer later Joe, once I have some time on it and see if I even want to go that route. I might just be happy with the onboard tunes :D I just happened to see the adapter in there today. There's still snow on the ground, so it's tinkering time around here

The difference between the 2 is the I Pod is controllable through the radio function on the handle bars. The MP3 is a plug it in (with the 3.5mm plug in) and it plays through with no control to advance/rewind, only volume.. hope this helps. I use both depending on my mood:hun:

:hun:...Well that's interesting , I have only a BASIC model 2014 RT and it plays my MP-3 player fine. I didn't like that the connection was in the trunk, so I dis-connected it and moved it forward to the glove box. The connector socket was on the right side of the trunk and it came with a wire for using it .........Mike
