• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP REQUESTED:
I have just received my Utopia Drivers backrest. It says I am to take off the black vinyl covering by removing the staples to get at the foam coating and slide the center bar through the foam and slide the foam over the bar.

I find the instructions vague and the video on you tube did not help much as it showed the one for the RT spyder.:sour::dontknow::banghead::pray:

Has anyone ever installed the drivers backrest (built for the GS/RS) and give me any advise.:chat:

Anything would be appreciated. By the way, my bike is a 2008 Spyder GS Roadster with OEM seat.

UTOPIA TOLD ME THE SAME THING............................BUT

I didn't pay any attention to their advice . I felt removing the cover and replacing it was going to be way harder than mounting the HARDWARE to the PAN. If you don't own a power stapler I don't think re-attaching the cover is doable ....at least not so it will look the way it did before you took it off..................................Artufun did a video in 2012 " BLUEKNIGHT911's MODS " do a search. I'm pretty sure it showed the Bracket attachment on my 08 GS.....................The hardest part was putting the serrated knife through the seat cover :gaah::gaah::gaah:............................Mike
