I received my BRP hitch today and was hoping to install the wiring myself on my 2014 Spyder RTS but because of no written instructions and,in my opinion not very good pictures I am a bit reluctant to proceed. I have searched the Internet thoroughly and have not found anything that has been helpful. Just wondering if anyone out there can help me find better directions or possibly a video. Also contacted a dealer that quoted me 2 1/2 hours for $275. It states on the instructions that installation is approximately 1 hour. Do not know how to interpret that.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I didn't take pictures when I installed mine on my RT. What I did do was get a pdf copy of the service manual so I was able to see and read in more detail how to remove the tupperware to get to the wiring connector. The biggest issue I had is that there were a couple of bolts that were only a couple of millimeters different. Pay attention to where each bolt goes.

Maybe we can help each other out here. I would like some pictures of the connectors on the Y-harness, in your kit. This is what I know.
You need to take the Y-harness, (in the lower left of the picture) and plug it in between a existing connector.
That connector is located in Zone 7 in the picture below.
I don't have a RT so I don't know how to get to the connector. As was suggested getting a service manual would likely be helpful to you.

My harness looks like yours. If all of the connectors are in Zone 7 then it should not be too complicated. It appears to me that the back panel that is under the rear trunk is the only one we have to remove. You can see some of the screws when you open the trunk lid. The other thing about all this is that on my instruction sheet (as well as yours) it states that installation should take approximately 1 hr. By the time you put the hitch on, which probably takes 15 to 20 mins. the wiring should not be that complicated. My problem is when you look at some of the pics it seems that they show parts of the bike that are under the side panels, although it says nothing about taking off side panels. I have also contacted a dealer in my area and they quoted me 2 1/2 hours at the cost of $275.00. Something seems a little out of whack. Hope to hear from you about more information.

Just to explain I don't have the hitch or wiring harness or instructions. The hitch kit picture is from BRP and the Zone picture is from the Service manual. I am planning to build my own wiring harness and buy an aftermarket hitch. That is why I asked for pictures of the Y-harness connectors. I have a ST and taking the side tupperware off is not very hard. My guess is that I could install the wiring harness in 30 minutes. I don't think a RT should take very much longer, but have never done it. So if you add another 30 minutes to install the hitch, it should not take much more than an hour to do.

Remove the right rear side panel and you should be able to snake the trailer harness around past the compressor, if you have ACS, and down to the hitch.

I received this web site from another individual and it shows the exact instructions that I have. The only difference is that these are for a 2013 and mine is a 2014. I do not know if there were that many changes between years. Hope these make more sense to thn to me. Thanks

Makes sense to me. Looks pretty straight forward, a lot easier than my 2010 RT. You have my number, just text or call and we can schedule a time to talk or FaceTime through it. Should take about 60-90 mins.
