• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Winter IS coming

October 26, 27 & 28 then......

We're supposed to stay sunny today with low 60's then mid seventies & sunny tomorrow. Tuesday the 28th is when the cold front appoaches and rain is forecast, then it's all downhill from there with mid forties on Halloween day and low forties on Saturday November 1st. Sadly I had to miss out on any kind of riding this beautiful weekend (bumb knee).

This is the weather around here for the next 30 days... the RT is resting comfortably in it's DRY heated garage.

We had our first "killing frost" last night...
Time to start thinking about the SERIOUS riding gear now! :D

Three weeks ago I put up my spyder for Winter Storage,(Oct. to April 1) Not much happens here for farkling, in the riding world. I can not wait until Spring to take my spyder out of its winter nap. So I can put miles on it. Deanna

Wow, To early to put away, Im in NH and still riding.LOl Rode today and there is snow in the future tommorrow. As soon as there is salt in the road I will then be done! I have 40,324 miles in three seasons, Love it!

I never completely put the Spyder away. It stays in the garage ready for action.
There are generally a few days available for riding in December and early January. Late January and early Feb not so much.
Some of the ski resorts in New England are already open. Skiing will start in Connecticut November 28th. It must be getting colder because of all the warming that's going on...........................

 It's here...
It started snowing a half-hour ago, and it is forecast to continue for the rest of the day and evening. :gaah:

We can laugh now...
But if you're sitting home with ONLY peanut butter and jelly, and nothing to wash it down... :yikes:

Well, since I have this week off, and the temperature has bounced to 57F (RAIN), I moved the RT to the truck's garage and started stripping off the tupperware.

I bought the RT billet windscreen bracket kit from "noboot" in Australia - terrific guy to work with - so, I'm going to hardwire my GPS, and install the windshield bracket, over the next few days. I wasn't going to spring for the bracket kit, but with all the cracking I've read about, it's just good insurance - the piece is soooo well made, and the kit has almost everything you would need for the install - a white marker and tools are all that's missing. Plus, there's a great thread in the "How to" section, showing every detail of the install! (More kudos to the forum Lamont!)

Now, I have to wait for Santa, before I can put my sway bar in place.... and wait for the first sighting of birds, to know the water's drained off enough to ryde...
