• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Changes in the 2015 vs. the 2014?

This time of year is always fun...
Last December; I sat on a 2014 RT Limited at the Bike show in NYC, and it had the Magic Button.
:dontknow:Go figure! :D

That's why they call it the "magic Button" Bob. Now it's on, Now it's not. BRP just likes to mess with our heads!

So it appears that the frunk opener button has reappered on the end of the rocker switch for the fog lights. I found this picture on the RT Limited section of the BRP web site.
I have seen and sat on a 2015 RTS Limited edition red/black spyder and the rocker switch was not there for the frunk opener, just the single fog light switch.

I have not seen a 2015 RT Limited yet.:popcorn::popcorn:

 Does this mean that we'll have to listen to those :cus: 1880 owners, crowing about how great the new engine is? :gaah:
I'll be REALLY ticked-off if it gets 50 mpg...

Say it ain't so, Joe...

63 MPG in Reverse 64 in third gear on the fourth Friday of each month.

Everyone scared him away in the last thread when he got crapped on....[emoji19]

I agree, the one I saw had no frunk opener just fog lite. This was their "special edition"RTS model.

Thanks to all for your inputs. I am glad there are few changes other than a price increase. My dealer, a friend, said buy the '14 as there are no changes. My cost has gone up so the '15 will cost you more. Mr. Cognac is a jewel and I am glad I got him...he will be my last scoot I think. Once I get the CB/XM/foot pegs and flashing stop light, I will keep him as I have my Gold Wing.

:spyder2:

Stan asked: Interested to see how your comparison is with the new spyder and your gold wing trike. By the way, colors are about the only change in the '15's some say the electric frunk button is back but not sure as I haven't seen the 15's yet. I do like the fact that the frunk can be opened anyway with the engine running just by pushing down on the ignition switch and turning it.
Stan

Stan, as said before, my Gold Wing Motor Trike is a different ride. Not as good in the twisties but rock steady on the Interstate @ 75-80 (speed limits where I live). The Wing is 13 years old this month and has never been in th shop with a problem. A recall or two but no running gear/engine problems. I get 25,000 miles + on the front tire and got 45,000 miles on the rears....swaped them just because I felt it was time, but could have gone another 10-15K without a problem. I get 30-32MPG, use regular gas, change oil 12-15,ooo miles with no usage, flush the radiator every two or three years and don't baby it. It was stronger than my 2011 but Mr. Cognac seems as strong, torque wise, as the Wing. My plan today is to keep both until I can't get on them....

I would give up the Wing if I had to, but with the wife getting a promotion on the second shift at the sawmill, money is no problem. Additionally, with the new oil boom in south Texas, the wife is going to truck driving school so she can get a good day job hauling drill pipe along with her evenings at the sawmill. My hope is the trucking thing does not interfer with her cooking my supper....

Do you think that your wife would consider coming to Arkansas for about one year???

Cruzr Joe

Joe and Bob, the wife said she would be happy to come to Arkansas and help out, but her lawn mowing service will pick up when spring comes....she also would be glad to help you by lending you some money. As you are my friends and fellow Spyders, she said you would get her premium interest rate.... 12% compunded semi daily....

p.s. She also has a snow removal service for my northern friends...it last snowed here in 1986....over 1" and it was terrible. (We spent four years at Grand Forks AFB, ND...we know snow and cold!!)

:spyder2:

An inch of snow; 28 years ago!
You have GOT to take that poor woman to a warmer climate!
Can she climb Palm trees, and harvest coconuts?

She might be too tired to do coconuts as she just finished picking peaches at Fredericksburg, TX....long hours but a great crop this year.

Will keep you in mind for snow removal service. The snow is coming, but so far, none that is measurable in my area.
