• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. J&M Speaker upgrade?

Anyone replaced the standard speakers with the J&M upgraded ones?

did you notice an improvement?

I am not looking for audiophile quality, but would like to hear the radio without distortion.

If you did the upgrade, did you have to completely pull the dash?

thanks

I did but think BigEars or better Bluetooth would have been money better spent

I upgraded with the J&M front and rear. I notice a louder and clearer sound compared to the stock. I did not remove the dash. I removed and put the new ones in from the speaker holes.:yes:

i did polk audio front/rear big difference in sound..but i had my mech do mine he did not have to pull the dash apart to do it so that saved me in labor time.

THESE ARE GREAT MTC SPEAKERS ALSO

Go on-line and look at the line -up for JBL speakers , they make an excellent MTC. speaker.....annnnnnnnnnnd you may be able to get them at a great price here ______SONIXELECTRONIX.COM__________they ship most speakers for free........Mike

I faded to the rears and now the right rear sounds blown. What a mess. Pretty poor engineering on a 25k vehicle.

Any tips for me? I would like to upgrade over the stock speakers, which have a LOT of distortion at speed, even with the sound leveling turned off.

...................................I think " finless " did a video ( look in the DIY forum ) on how to do the RT that was excellent ................I don't have J & M...........I have JBL 2 OHM speakers 528 & 428 ( rear) .............Using my MP-3 if I turn volume ( on the RT ) to MAX , the speakers remain clear, crisp etc.....However they are TOO loud to listen to at that level.....I'm not kidding ..................People here heard them at Spyderquest and were amazed.....I only paid $ 100 for all 4, delivered ...............Mike
