There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Communications system questions

If you have the communications system with CB radio utilizing wired headsets can you also use the Bluetooth doggle to connect your cell phone and use the phone via the wired headset?

i understand the cb radio is activated by a ptt button on the handle bar. How does the intercom work between rider and passenger. Is there a separate putt or is it vox?

cheers

CB and wired headsets or Bluetooth, not both

You have to decide to either go all wired with the CB and wired BRP headsets with it's wonderful VOX operation or go all Bluetooth with the Bluetooth dongle and Bluetooth headsets. Some swear by Bluetooth but with the nightmare I went through with it I'm more likely to swear at it.:bdh:

Can a cell phone be routed through the wired headsets? And are you saying the intercom is VOX?

The cellphone is connected to the GPS via Bluetooth between those two. Then the GPS sends the voice thru the wired GPS harness to the cellphone interface cable connected between the CB radio communication system and the entertainment harness. The voice is then sent to the helmet via the wired headset and does not require you to push the PTT, only transmitting on the CB requires the use of the PTT button. The intercom is a VOX wired system. Feel free to contact me via PM and I will send you my phone number. So yes, the cellphone can be routed to the wired headset IF you have the GPS system and the cellphone interface cable connected to the CB radio system.

I think it's important for the OP to know that the cell phone interface cable is an additional option that must be purchased and installed.

I must say one thing, my good friend, we have had markedly different experiences with the bluetooth systems.
I know you were very unhappy with yours.
I'm sure you are aware, I fought bluetooth for years. Maybe that was a good thing, since it gave the Lords of Bluetooth time to work things out.
I own my 2014 for 5 weeks now, about 2,000 miles and I'm really liking the bluetooth system. It IS reliable, and so much easier to use, and look ma, no wires.
The intercom can be set up as PTT or VOX, a choice the wired system doesn't offer. I was never able to get the VOX set up in a satisfactory way on my wired system. Either you had to keep talking in a very loud voice to keep it activated, or the music would come back in between your sentences.

To each their own path, and I'm very happy you've got the wired system set up the way you like it.

It doesn't. The wired system is setup by priorities on what you hear in the helmet. The bluetooth connection is between your phone and the GPS device. The bluetooth interface cable allows the cellphone to use the headset of the CB system, not the CB itself. The cellphone conversation is much like a cb one as only one person can speak at a time. I am very lucky to say that mine is working wonderfully. The people I speak to say that they cannot even tell that I am riding the mc down the highway. I believe if you receive a CB transmission while on the cellphone, it will override the cellphone, much like the cellphone overrides the music radio.

The connector on the radio that the Bluetooth dongle connects to is the same as the Entertainment harness.

If you have the ENT harness (which is needed for XM and CB) then the Bluetooth dongle connects to the connector on the ENT harness where the CB would connect to.

This is why you cannot have both CB and Bluetooth SM10.
Could they be wired up together?
I believe yes!
BUT.. the limitations would be you wont be able to have a MIC and talk BT from the headset to the CB. You would be able to hear the CB in your BT headsets but that would be all.

What would need to happen is someone to figure out how to interface the Sena SR10 to the ENT harness and "emulate" the wired system.
This too I believe can be done "possibly".
