Has anyone heard of a 2010 RT blowing up. The last time I rode it was Friday and today Wednesday the garage burned to the ground. Fire Marshall said it was the spyder that did it.

No charger just setting there.Ouch! Never heard of spontaneous combustion concerning :spyder2:'s. Did you have it plugged in on a battery tender or charger? There has to be a root cause if it was indeed the :ani29: that was the culprit.

Marshall. Depending on the loss value, your Insurance Co. may also dispatch their own investigator for a determination.
1. Was the Spyder recently serviced? If so, what work was done?
2. Was the garage and contents a total loss?
No work done garage bike two cars all tools lawn tractor golf cart on and on total lost.
I am out of town and haven' t seen it just a picture of a black spot . I was told there is nothing left of the bike it is completely gone and that is why.
Upon what; is he basing this opinion? :dontknow:
There should be at least a frame left. If there is nothing maybe someone stole it and set the garage on fire for cover.I am out of town and haven' t seen it just a picture of a black spot . I was told there is nothing left of the bike it is completely gone and that is why.
Brand Loyalty?
What did you expect in here?
Seriously; a cold bike, sitting idle in a garage for a period of time...
It seems like a "less than likely", source of the fire...
Unless mice chewed on a wire; causing a short.![]()
But that could have happened with any of the vehicles in that garage... :dontknow:
