There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. SLIGHT WOBBLE IN FRONT TIRES AT 52-55 MPH

Just checking to see if anyone else has had or has this problem. Mounted new Kumho tires on the front about 3 weeks ago. The car place couldn't balance them on his machine because the wheel centers are too small. (2013 RT) Anyways, Checked around and no one could really do them locally. My dealer is a good ride away so I ordered balancing beads from ebay. according to their chart I used 2. oz per tire. Everything has been good except between 52-55 mph I get a steering wobble (shaking back and forth on the handlebar) and then it's gone. Any suggestions or comments are always appreciated.:doorag:

I don't know about the beads but if you remove & take to big o tire they should be able to get them close just place the weights close to center bead line. Have them spin them a few times before the balance to make sure the beads get situated. Good luck

Hard to say..!!

not being familiar with the bead system maybe 2oz's is not enough. If the tires were not mounted correctly lining up the valve mark the balance could be off more. Seems it is in the balance if all was well before. Hope someone using the balance beads chimes in...:dontknow:

I have been using beads in my 2 wheeler for years. There have been a few that I know of that have had similar issues like yours on 2 wheels. The 2 oz recommended is if the tire is mounted correctly. Ie.. valve mark. If its not it could put the heavy part of the tire way out requiring more beads. Every time this has happened it has been this case. They have just added about and extra 1/2-1 oz more of beads and it cleared them up. Except for 1 case where ge found out his rim was bent.

IMO, i would start by adding more beads and see if it goes away, add up to 1 oz. I am also assuming the inside of the tire us dry as well and they are not clumping together.

Let us know if and or what fixes the problem.

If more beads don't solve your problem, search out a car/tire dealer with a Hunter Road Force balancer and see if their machine will accommodate your wheels. I found one locally and took my wheels to them and they did an excellent job. After watching how that machine provides so much more info on balancing, I'll never use anything else on my cars when they need tires again.

Wheel Wobble

My wifes 2012 RT-S did that after new tires on front (OEM) found that the tire pressure was to low. I now keep them 18-20 no wobble and smooth ride.
