There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Turn signal bulbs?

My 2013 Spyder ST SM5 now has about 900 miles on it and blew a rear turn signal bulb. After visiting 4 different auto parts stores unsuccessfully I learned the amber RY10W (Osram 5009) bulb it uses is not very common. I searched online and found one on Ebay for $9. I'd like to get a couple spares so am wondering if anyone knows a good place to get some for a reasonable price? I tried http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/ but they say it uses a 21 watt bulb and mine is a 10 watt so I am hesitant to order one from them. From what I have read on the forum keeping the resistance about the same keeps the nanny happy. I might even try LED's if I knew which ones would work.

Little checking..!!

you do have a 10 watt bulb for the rear turn signal. However the front ones use a 21 watt bulb. Check back with them to get the rear bulb. Don't know why they have the different wattages...:hun:

The OP's front turn signal bulb is not 21 watts, it is a led light unit with no replaceable bulb.

BRPs part catalog lists the bulb as 715900043 Bulb 12V/21W. Don't know why the bulb you took out is different than the bulb listed as the replacement.

Out of curiosity I took a look at my bulb and found it to be a RY10W amber just as you describe. Maybe BRPs catalog description is wrong?

I think it is wrong. From what I have read the 21W is quite a bit larger. Like an average full sized automobile turn signal bulb. Not sure if it would fit in the turn signal housing or if it did would it get too hot near the lens. At the price of them I am unwilling to experiment without more info.
