Can an oil change be done without the bike being lifted??

yes

It can but you have to do it by feel and that's not all that much fun! I've done it but I probably won't do it again. Finding the drain plugs and making sure your hex bit is seated good is a must or the plugs will round off, or worse you can cross thread them back in.

Yeah..!!

I have done all my changes on the ground. Works fine for me but may not for others. I have lifts but not a drive on type and prefer to have the unit flat on level ground. It's a choice....:thumbup:

If you have a car jack in your car to lift it, but let the tires touch the floor and that will give you few more inches. Make sure that you keep the parking brake on so it can't move front to back. That's IMHO.

I leave the bike on the ground with no issues. I recommend that once you get the drain plug out replace it with a regular plug by Gold Plug or similar. Good Luck!

Put the jack under the frame below the gas tank and back with in 2 inches of the start of the bend.
