• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ordered our RT Limited on 2/27/14 from Columbia Motorsports in CT. We were told the bike we ordered had been ordered by them last September. It was scheduled to be shipped to them on 3/24/14. Now 34 days later no one knows anything.

I'm being impatient but the weather has FINALLY broken and I want to ride. I just needed to vent. I know many of you southerners were promised in Nov and had to wait till Dec and/or Jan. I guess it's my turn.

Dec, Jan? I had to wait unit mid march. :banghead: Don't worry it should be in by june for the owners event.

I feel your pain...
Mine was ordered on 9-16-2013, and I was able to get it home on 2-22-2014...
Hang in there; I PROMISE you, that the wait will be worth it!! :2thumbs: nojoke

Not sure if this will help, but maybe contact Steve at BRP customer care and ask about your '14. Steve posted this info on a thread I had going about dealers.

Supposedly the RT was ordered back in Sept also. With a delivery date in late March. I hope the dealer was not telling me an "untruth".

Patience may be a virtue but at my age I can afford to be unvirtuous. :D

Vidman, I'm thinking about ordering a '14 here fairly soon - you're making me nervous, LOL!

P.S. Thank you for your service to our country.

I'd be calling the dealer just about every other day... :gaah:
Do you have nay other dealers close by? It might be worth taking a ride; go check what they've got in their inventory.

There does seem to be some ordering "sagas" out there. Most everyone that ordered early, is/was in the same kind of boat.

The tracking system for orders definitely needs some improvement. If I were a dealer and had a few of these expensive machines on order, I would sure like to know ship date and the status of the shipments on the way. Look at UPS and others. Once the package is in transit, they can tell you exactly where it is and the day of delivery.

For me, this also boils down to customer satisfaction. Knowing when, makes the long wait much easier to bear. The seemingly haphazard logistics system for :spyder2: is an area I recommend fixing a bit.

There are other dealers. No one has the color we want.

Barbara, don't be nervous. Just be more patient then me. LOL

I agree about the dealers should get better info/response from BRP. As my dealer said, "I may be more anxious then you. I don't get paid for it till it's in." Gotta be tough on the bottom dollar for them.

Took a walk around the lake today. Swans, ducks and fish put things into perspective. There is a bigger picture then riding...........NO THER ISN'T! :roflblack:

THE WAIT IS WORTH IT...

BOB,

Have you been able to put in any miles yet? Any first impressions?

I am used to a response from a company within 24 hours. At least acknowledging an email sent.

I have received nothing from BRP Care. Is this normal for them? Even Harley responds quicker. Simple request was asked.

I now stand corrected. Steve responded. I really hated comparing them to Harley....hahahaha.

:2thumbs: Good news!!
Ron,
I've put 500 miles on it so far...
it's way smoother and quieter
Shifting first, to second, to third at only 2,000 rpm is... just right!! :2thumbs:
Cruising at 55 mph at only 2,800 rpm; AWESOME!
the radio speakers seem to be improved
The rear heated grips actually DO get warm
The steering is "quicker"
The brakes are amazing!
The electronic frunklid button is still... missing, and the the frunk holds less...; those are the only 2 items that I'm not wild about!:ohyea::yes:

BRP Care seems to have their act in order. I have had some communication with Steve also. I can say that I was very impressed with the quick responses to my questions. And yes, I was also notified that my :spyder2: was shipped. Now in transit, somewhere between Valcourt and Alaska.
