• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You would think BRP would want your money but I guess that's not the case.

When I bought my wife a used 2011 RT it was still under the factory warranty. The owner said there was no ext. warranty.
So after reading the warranty transfer info in the manual I was confused.

To play it safe I called the selling dealer and was told to come down and they would handle the transfer.
So after going,we were pleased to find out it also had the BEST warranty until 2016.

...and I didnt want the tone of the inquiry to sound like I was blameless. In hindsight, I should have called BRP for clarification. I presumed that they would still take my cash. Now on the search for an aftermarket warranty...most are pricey and scams....or just save a credit card balance for a crisis and keep up on the maintenance...

Hindsight usually is 20/20... and too late to be useful! :gaah:

Please let us know if you find any aftermarket warranties that will suit you...
Good LUck, and Happy Hunting! nojoke

Used Spyder extended warranty

I just picked up a 2013 RT Limited with 1068 miles on it. It was several states away so I got a lot of information from him. He said it had more than 2 years left on the warranty. I called several dealers with the VIN number and verified it was covered and what I needed to do transfer and was there a cost. I found that there was no cost I could go into any Can Am dealer with proof of ownership and they could transfer it. The day after I got it drove the 40 miles with bill of sale and my new registration card. They transferred it and told me it has several recalls on it. They even took the extra steps to see how long to get the parts and printed me a copy with all the warranty information on it. They also told me that I could get one more year added as long as done before it expires.

In short you can go to any authorized dealer to verify a VIN coverage status and do transfers. Hope this helps someone.
