I'm very new to the Spyder, but I've been bitten, kind of. I rode the Spyder last Saturday at the Tampa event and fell in love. Y'all are on to something.
I currently ride a Victory Vision, and before that a Wing for many years. So I've gotten spoiled by comfort, and the Spyder was lacking in two areas, the pegs, and the handlebars. The bars are an easy fix with risers. I sat on two with the risers and they felt much better than the demo model I rode.
But the pegs seem to be a bit harder to fix. I did see the mod that LaMonster made, and I think they might do the trick.
I have heard that Can-Am is releasing a Touring model in 2010? Does anyone know anything about this bike? If it is designed for touring it might address the comfort issues that I have.
I've owned a Ural with the sidecar, so riding the Spyder was no problem, in fact it brought back some fond memories. All in all I love the Spyder and am thinking seriously about selling the Vision and buying one. But, I first have to solve these comfort issues.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike
