• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here they are Bikerdoc on the Cognac and Dan on the black.
6 Spyders met up in Ft Pierce,FL.4 of us on our 2012&2013 RT,s and the 2 rock stars on their brand new 2014 RT,s.We had a nice ryde in balmy weather 75degrees to Captain Hiram's in Sebastian for lunch. After lunch we split some going North and a couple of us South.
I love black bikes and Dans looks great but must say thought the Cognac looked terrific. For those of you lucky one awaiting delivery you won't be disappointed.
It was interesting listening to both guys describing how they were to ride etc etc etc but will leave the riding reports for them.image.jpg

Glad to see you folks are out and about enjoying the new rydes.

Thank you Ivor for some great pics. It is easy to tell that Dan and I are excited with our new rydes. I have 560 miles on Fine Brandy so far this week.

:agree: Anything yet??
(C'mon... throw us a bone here!)
From what the guys told us over lunch Bob I think you are going to be one happy camper. The gear changing etc is totally different.Sounded to me similar to my Goldwing.
We were all hinting away at wanting to ryde the but those 2 were not falling for it.
"Go on Hal&Dan.Describe it as you did to us.

Seems as though they are delivering them first to the warmer state of Florida and leaving folks like poor Bob "out in the cold."

Thanks Ivor!

It was a Great Day to meet up with Ivor and Doc as well as the other great folks i met today, i must admit getting caught in a rain storm for 20 minutes was interesting after i cleaned the bike last night :0:banghead:

as i have stated before,,,, when you get yours you will have your opinion:cheers:. Doc is far ahead of me on the milage and will continue to be that way (Kudos Doc).

putting both bikes together, they are identical. I have never been a chrome guy, so having the satin BRP plates with the black wheels and paint is a great balance. We all know about….FRUNKGATE, BRP emailed me friday and we will see what happens monday, marketing Dept at BRP dropped the ball, could cost them….

Just like Doc has stated, ill use ECO mode for Cruising on the highway.

I had a feeling some folks wanted to drive it today, i was about to say, 20 bucks gets you a 10 minute ride (Teasing) IVOR, next time you can drive her.

Good to know..!!

you are out ryding no matter what you have...we had great ryde as well but we will be the last to get 14's so we continue on what we have...

You've GOT to be down to less than 400 miles to go to hit 1,000; that's only one halfway-decent day's worth of riding... :D :bbq::bbq::bbq:

Actually ECO mode is for all speeds and all gears. It changes the power curve and gives a alert on optimum shift points.

I did not say Eco mode did not work at lower speeds and all gears . On a mileage test I ran it definitely worked nicely at lower average speeds but it does "soften power delivery" as Bob puts it and I am more interested in max power than better mileage. I said I would not use it except for highway. That is a personal preference. Please do not read in an implied criticism be
cause it isn't there

 Thanks for the clarification...
Everybody is so starved for some decent reporting on the new bikes, that we're taking apart each letter; inside each word, to look for meaning...

More ECO mode info.

o Throttle map changes to a more progressive rather than linear acceleration .
o During hard acceleration there will not be an indication to shift – the ECM understands you are accelerating and will not recommend a shift at this time.
o Only when the vehicle speed and acceleration have stabilized for a certain time and the ECM judges there is enough engine torque available in the next gear to keep the same speed and acceleration will an upshift indication be displayed.

Starved is an understatement!
I think I've logged on to the forum more in the last week with my proverbial tin cup looking for ANY tidbits of first impressions ect. then I have logged on since I joined!
Here's  my cup runneth over in the not to distant future!

Don't understNd why people take posts out of content , read post, stop, think, breathe then reply.
