• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today, I had the "recall" completed on my SE5---they installed a new, longer and stronger oil pump spring, and it took them about 2 hours. This made a major difference in the gear-shifting process---it shifts without the jerking, hesitations; instead, this SE% is smooth, quick, and efficient. This spring exchange is a "must." It also did not cost me a cent---BRP paid the bill......Great job from "Pefformance Motorsports in San Juan Capistrano, California-----I recommend them HIGHLY.

Didn't know there was a recall. My Spyder is a 2009 SE-5 and is plagued with shift problems. Been at the dealer now for a month and so far they have done absolutely nothing. Any detail on the recall number or service bulletin number they used for that spring?

There is a service bulletin on the 2008 SE5 and early 2009 SE5's its not a recall as its an option service bullitin i was told and if your having problems they perform it. My dealer is still waiting on some of the parts to do this to mine it also consists of a software upgrade and one other part change.

The part number is 420238845---this is a major spring in the electronic shifting mechanism---it's longer and stronger than the original---made a 100% difference in my SE5 shifting. They covered it under warranty on my 2008---I'm sure they can tell you the recall/service number----good luck-----their number is 949-493-5004
