• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rumor control on the new 2014's

I was at my dealer today and I was asking about the 2014's. They mentioned that a transmission problem was found with the 2014's and it was being corrected at the factory before the units were shipped. He said the resulting problem was delaying the first shipments of the new Spyders but that everything would be fine when they finally arrived at the dealerships.

Anybody else heard anything similar? Or is this just a false rumor that got started to explain why no units have been received?

Rumors & Speculation

I'd have to chalk a lot of this up to human nature for there to be rumors & speculation such as there is here regarding the delays in getting the 2014 RT models shipped. Once there are 2014 Spyders being received at dealerships this will die down. People just get "antsy" and impatient as they always do whenever something gets delayed.

transmission

this sounds interesting, it is a first for the new transmission so it might be true. whatever it is lets hope they get it right for you guys

Kris saw on facebook that they are delayed until mid January. Just passing on what she told me.

Opps, didn't see below thread.

No truth to transmission issues... They're just taking their time to make sure that everything is perfect!
(This info is straight from BRP)

As I see it..!!

jmho..having been here a relatively short time I have noticed an increased lack of parts and inability to maintain a proper stock. This is a supplier issue cause I hate to think it's a factory and dealer problem. Nonetheless I would venture a guess that they are having supplier problems. New parts new machining testing all have to be done as production starts. Who knows where all the parts come from to build these machines once ordered into production and if the same parts come from one or many suppliers. ( hence some issues on one yet not another). Have been there it is not easy your product is dependant on many manufacturers...hope they can get them out in reasonable time and at least let us know.....

I heard that there was a problem with the oil they were using. It was too slick. Did not let the engines wear any, and they would not make money on replacement parts. :roflblack::joke:

Look at all these rumors, running me everyday I just need some time, some time to get away

It must be the truth cause this is on the internet!!!

Fact and you can double check on snopes.com.....everything on the 2014 production/ship date ground to a complete halt when I ordered my 2014 RTS SE6...my bad...I had made the big statement that I wasn't even looking or considering until the '15's came out....there I go showing the power of the GERIATIC WOMAN....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
