Another Wonderful Day for a Ryde

Headed out to the end of the road to pick up the mail and just kept going. The ambient temperature here was a blustery 59 degrees. For this time of the year--a heat wave of sorts. Cloudy skies and looking like rain at any time--but, I didn't care. Made it over 100 miles before my hip said enough for today. Ran into a few raindrops about 5 miles from home--but that was okay in my book.

So far, this is the latest I have been able to ryde the :spyder2: since living here. Normally, there is snow on the ground by this time. The weather people are saying that we may make it past Halloween before the snow is serious enough to stay. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Any other good ryde stories today? :thumbup:

I'm getting ready to head out for our Spyder dinner tonight. We have about 16 people coming which is a good turnout for us. The weather is a bit chilly here with a high of only 72 today. Sunshine and light winds. Temperatures will be warming up the rest of the week with highs in the upper 70s and more sunshine of course!

I have put 600 miles on the loaner since I picked it up last Thursday. :yes:

I am so glad to hear that you are rydeing again. Any down time for the :spyder2: is just that--downtime.

I'm glad to hear that the Alaskan riding season is unimpaired by snowfall... :2thumbs:
But if things go as planned; I'll be getting my new bike about the time that yours is locked away in deep storage... :shocked:

That will be just right. I can then ryde the new 2014 vicariously, as I read your reports. Hope you get a mild winter and many miles in before you have to park it.
