There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BRP Anti-Vibe Kit

Has anyone tried the BRP Anti-Vibe Handlebar Kit from the 2009 catalog. I don't see it on the web site, so maybe it's not available yet. Looks like a nice touch and might just be enough to dampen vibration a tad.

I have had the kit on order since October '08 when I picked up my Spyder. No sign of it yet (nor of the Ultra Touring windshield either.):dontknow:

At least with the windshield, they noted that it would be Spring. I would like to try them. My hands did not get numb, but would start to tingle after awhile. It got better after I added the the 1" riser. I was hoping the anti-vibe ends would get rid of that last little bit of tingling. When the wait is over, please weigh in on the weights.

I got my spyder the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the anti-vibe kit arrived at the same time. Unfortunately, because of the temperature here in WI, I have not rode the spyder yet.

Where's global warming when you need it?

Just a thought...If BRP knows that She:spyder: vibrates too much, why not fix it or offer the extension as a standard part?:dontknow:

I just installed mine last week. The installation is very easy. I have noticed and improvement.

However, I haven't riden more than 100 miles in one shot since installing them. I will be able to give a better review after this weekends ride to San Diego

Too much is a relative thing. What's bad for you may be normal for me. Heck, anything that shakes less than my '65 Triumph is probably considered good in this house. :D I think the Spyder is well below average in the vibration department, compared to the rest of the bikes out there.

What is too much vibration is very subjective. For me, the vibration level is fine unless you are doing big miles, which I do when I get a chance. I have all the aftermarket anti vibe fixes, but if I was just commuting or taking weekend trips I don't think I would have bothered. This is a V twin and as V twins go it is very tame when it comes to vibration. I still have trouble with the fact that it is a V twin with a red line of almost 10 grand. I grew up with twins that would go boom if you revved them to half that. Ryde Safe and Enjoy:thumbup:

I guess I have numb hands.... I don't notice the handle bars vibrating.. You don't suppose it might be the 4" risers that fix it??

However, never, or at least can't remember, if there was a lot of vibration or not.

i have it installed on my spyder and i would say that it cut down the vibration a decent amount, easy install

The risers would have the same effect as a bar-end weight.

Never had any problems with the vibration on the handlebars to begin with but I can say Lamont's risers made an improvement. The only complaint I have with the vibration is mirror shake at certain RPM's.

Same here. I have had my right hand get cramps or feel numb but that was on the 5th hour of the second day of two 8+ hour days of riding. I think that was more the result of the road surface that we were on. We hit some different blacktop and, for whatever reason, I thought I could feel more vibration in the handlebars within a few minutes of riding on it. After 40 minutes or so, my throttle hand started hurting. Thats when I decided I needed a Throttlemeister or some other type of throttle lock for the very long, multi-day trips.

Is it just bar end weights? How much? Maybe it would make more sense to just get the Throttlemeister instead. Cruise control plus anti-vibe for one price.

Yes bar weights with a nice billet end cap. They are $99.00. The dealers hase a catalog if you didn't recieve one in the mail. If the Spyderryder website was more current, I'm sure the would be shown there

I have the aduiovox cruise control as well. The vibration in the handle bars really didn't bother me. I got the anti-vibes to see if they do lessen the vibrations, and becuase I like they way they look.

:agree::doorag:
I put the Heavy throttlemiester on early, before the NMN risers.
They took away any noticable vibration, with the bonus of the throttle lock, for only about $50 more than the BRP antivibe accessory.

The risers completed the picture of totally comfortable arms & hands.
