• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i was over visiting a friend of mine who has a 2012 rt that has the sound group

3500 miles on it

he was asking if mine was hard to steer (mine is a 2009 rs ) i told him mine is relative easy to steer and showed him while it was running able to turn sitting still with 2 fingers

he told me to get on his and feel his it took a lot of arm force to move the steering while rolling slow i put in first and drove a short distance and returned and stopped and attempted to turn the handlebars while sitting still and couldn't budge them

i told him get it to a dealer

any ideas

This is pretty normal for a '12 RT. It has to have motion to activate the DPS.

Interesting..!!

I thought the DPS worked best at slow speeds and maneuvering in tight places when the bike is dead weight. Mine kicks in once started but then it is an RS. Seems the RT being heavier should be the same. Should have it checked. May need adjusting..!! :dontknow:

It sounds as if his DPS... isn't!
:agree: get that bike to the dealer!

:agree: sitting on my 2012 RT-S with the engine off I can turn the wheels lock to lock with some force using both hands. After starting the engine the force required is 1/2 or less to turn the wheels lock to lock with one hand.

My 13 RT is same way. The RT is actually a bit difficult to turn when sitting still. However once i move a tiny bit it seems to ease up just a bit. The 13 ST is a lot easier when sitting still.
