• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

comparing Harbor Freight, Craftsman, Torin, Crewline....any experiences, opinions on best jack for working on Spyder RT?

Don't know..!!

I have the craftman ATV /Motorcycle jack which works well for me but have not tried the other.. I like cause all the wheels can be off the ground..depends on the budget diy work you have planned..

While on the subject. I installed the Spyder Pops Cat shields. Will they get in the way of this jack? I know they do for my regular floor jack.

My cat runs when I roll the jack in her direction I'm not sure what Spyder Pops cat might do... the jack is 3 3/4" high so if the cat is higher than that your GTG. When I used my floor jack I just drove the front wheels up onto a couple of 2x6's for additional height before putting the jack under it.

Tried the Craftsman and Harbor Freight jacks and found them to be flimsy for my two wheeled bikes. I bought a J&S jack and have been very pleased.

Now trying to get the Diamond R adapter up above.

I bought a low style Harbor FT model and it slides under the front as well as sides where I have the Spyderpop shields without interference. Put a 5-8 in piece of wood on it and when slid under the front it helps keep the front from rocking back and forth. Also made three blocks out of 2 x 8's to fit under the wheels when I want it lifted for any reason. The jack in often on sale for $79 and very well made.

I have an older Craftsman ATV jack, not of the same quality as the above but similar in style, and it wouldn't go under my RT with Spyderpop shields. If anyone in my area wants it I'll make em a deal as I don't have any use for it anymore.

I bought the harbor freight jack awhile ago back when they had the coupon selling them on the super cheap. I've used the heck out of that jack and it works fantastic for what I use it for.
The main thing I use it for is to put the spyder in the front of my one car garage sideways when not using it for awhile or if I need the garage space for another project. Just jack up the entire spyder and spin it around, push to the front....done.

I have this Harbor Freight jack.......been using it for at least four years to lift both my Honda VTX and now my Spyder.......it easily lifts both and allows me to place a stand underneath either bike.......watch for sales and 20% off coupon...I think I paid under $100
