• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Annual Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival is the same weekend as the BBQ this year and is definitely worth the side trip for anyone looking for something interesting to do after the BBQ. There is great riding all around the Roan Mountain area and a trip to the top of the mountain gets you up over 6,000 ft elevation where the flowers should be in full bloom. Check out the links below for details on the festival and directions.
Here's a few pics of some of us at Roan Mtn last year...

Jack are you and the wife going to the Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival?

We are going to the Owner's Event in Maggie Valley and then to Lamont's BBQ and would then like to go to the Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival.

Map & route to Roan Mtn Festival

Here's a map showing a route from Greeneville to the Roan Mountain area. The Festival is held near the North entrance to the Park.
