Hello everyone. My wife and I just picked up our new 2012 RT. Very much enjoying it. Curious on what others riders do to protect against theft. Looking forward to feedback. Thanks-New Adventure

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Phew! I'm glad I traded my Harley!!! But seriously, I try to park under a light and where I can see it. We don't have alarms but it's probably a good idea...

The suggestion about insurance is right on. Locks are for honest people, if someone really wants to steal your :spyder2: they will, regardless.
I accidently left the key in one of our :ani29:'s overnight in the front row of the parking lot at a Fairbanks, AK hotel. The :spyder2: was still there in the morning.

We live on a small ranch, insurance is good, and we have them, my wife's RT and my STS, parked in a carport, the thief would have to get over the gate, meet our dogs, and the alpacas who think they are guard dogs, and next to the carport is my marked sheriffs unit, I think they would get the hint, hahaha!!!!:f_spider:

No Joke! A true story from the police reports in our paper earlier this year... somebody attempted to steal a Corvette but abandoned the venture and ran away when they couldn't figure out how to put the 6-speed shifter into Drive! :clap:

I know the feeling !
when I took mine out I forgot how to open the front trunk ........im like great its broken.....turns out I was trying to pop the seat for the gas tank. And yet yes I am admitting it lol

I believe that last year during Spyders in the Adirondacks someone had their Spyder stolen from an enclosed trailer. The thief cut the lock on the trailer and I think the key was in the Spyder. Also, I remember that there was a theft in Maggie Valley two years ago during the Owners Event.
