• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adjusting belt away from flange-hard?

For the somewhat mechanically inclined how tough a job is it to adjust belt away from flanges in rear and front.

My belt has always been against flange in front and back (not 1-5mm gap).

I have replaced and or adjusted motorcycle chains, clutch plates, brakes (pads and calipers), spark plugs, tires, electrical troubleshooting, and exhausts.

Any tips or instructions and tool recommendations is greatly appreciated also.

I would like to to try this adjustment to the belt and see if it changes high vibration at 5,000 RPMs and above in 4th/5th gears. My attempt to have dealer do same at 600 mile service failed and is a long story.

Easy. Put rear end of bike on jack, or stands. Loosen axle nuts (36mm) and run the bike in third gear while up. Adjust the two Allen bolts to attain the clearance. Tighten back up and you're good to go.

BTW, I run mine on the lower end of tightness tolerance to reduce "vibrations".
