• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The Ultimate Ride Adventure

Keep in mind that the Spyder is widest at the wheel spokes...unless the flat-spoke custom wheels are fitted. Alsoi remember that the width at the tires, just above the ground, is dependent on tire pressure. Less pressure and the tires bulge out more.

motorcycle ramp

This is the motorcycle ramp and I know they have designed a new one for trikes and I think is is on the same design, but wider. I will talk to Steve late this week and try to get a pic as well.

Just like to remind everyone that RS's and ST's are good to go and have already been on these cruises, but all the talk is to see if we can get RT's onboard. Something I will be working on this week.

Just wanted to post and let everyone know That my wife and I will be bringing "the Mistress" on this cruise. Who else is goin????? Don't be shy:lecturef_smilie:

Trike ramp

Talked to Steve this morning and the ramp is 63", but because of safety the max is 60" and cannot alter from this so now we half to see if we can make this happen. The sides do go straight up.

Aw man. If I could get my RTS on board I would be in. Love to cruise.
With stock RS wheels on the RT, at the tires it measures 59 9/16, but the stock wheels stick out past 60" so tim is going to measure his custom RS wheels. I'm hopeful. Dan know anyone you could borrow them from.

Watching this closely - width and gangplank

Have we got a set of RS wheels on an RT to check and get an absolute # yet? Bob needs to go, I can tell by all of his posts. They all have that " I need to ride on a caribbean island " sound to them.:roflblack:

Width measurement

I have been working on the width problem for RT's and I think I have the solution, but until I get then on an RT and an able to measure them, I cannot be sure. I measured RRS wheels today on an RT and came up with 60 3/8" , close but no cigar. I have a phantom wheel coming that I believe would work. If someone could help me with a custom RS wheel measurement with a stock tire it would help me and if you do I will tell you what I need.

ETA Motorcycle Cruises IS THE ONLY TRAVEL COMPANY & EVENT PLANNER SANCTIONED BY APPLIED GOVERNMENT AND ISLAND AGENCIES LICENSED TO ALLOW GUESTS TO BRING THEIR PERSONAL INSURED MOTORCYCLE ON A CRUISE AND RIDE OFF ESCORTED ON THE ISLANDS. IF YOUR TRAVEL AGENT TELLS YOU THEY CAN BOOK THIS CRUISE FOR YOU… THEY CAN’T! YOUR BIKE WILL BE DENIED BOARDING IF NOT BOOKED THROUGH ETA ON ANY ETA MOTORCYCLE CRUISE.
[h=4]IMPORTANT FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW[/h]Fuel, Port Services, Insurance for all island rides are additional. These expenses are collected during ETA Welcome Aboard Open Bar Reception. This fee is only based per bike – not per person. ETA Bike Guests are treated as VIPs. We are the first off the ship in all port rides. We have our own gangway just for our guests! Average time for disembarking the bikes and fueling is approximately 25 minutes total for all bikes! Fuel is a high octane and we have not had any problems in the past 4 years. By the time you get settled on the pier, we’re ready to ride! Each bike owner takes their own bike on and off the ship. ETA Staff is always there to assist! No one ever touches your bike. Each bike is secured with a Bike Grab® while aboard the ship and is not available for view by other passengers. We have a secured area in the hull just for our guests’ bikes. Plus they are under 24/7 surveillance by the ship’s security cameras and we have never had anything go missing. The security staff aboard the ships take pride in making sure our guests personal belongings are never touch, The rides are fantastic with stops throughout each day for shopping, beaching, water-play, eating and sightseeing! We do more then just ride – we have a blast! Not to mention some fantastic ‘watering’ spots! We also stop at various historical places that are a must to see. There is plenty of time for shopping…. so bring your plastic with you! The roads are all paved. Yes there are a few pot holes but what road doesn’t have some. Remember… you’re on an island and there are some areas where they may be sand along the side of the road. We do not ride on roads that are not paved. Never lost anyone yet! All rides are escorted by our own ETA Reps that live on the islands. Our tour guides are not your typical guides – these are incredible riders that have been riding for years. Chase vehicles are with us throughout all escorted rides. We’ve never left anyone or any bike behind. The Officers on the ships take pride in making sure we are always back on board safe and sound. We don’t have to send a search party out to look for anyone as those ‘other’ bike cruises have. Rides are for experienced riders and we ask that you take into consideration that the island rides have some big hills and strong turns. We’ve never lost anyone but want all guests to know this. If you have less then 3000 miles under your belt, you may want to build up some more miles before taking your bike. Where those ‘other’ bikes cruises do not have the authority to allow you to bring your own bikes, they seem to allow their guests to make fools of themselves whether in the dining room, pool deck, or elsewhere…. ETA wants our guests to truly enjoy their bike-cruising experience in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Not to worry here…. no one will ‘bare’ themselves during dinner! We have been featured in many articles in the past 8 years, including front page and full center pages of the NY Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Palm Beach Port, Motorcycle Events Magazine, Ironhorse Magazine, Easy Rider, Caribbean Leisure Travel, Destinations and many other publications and television specials. Hope this answers some of your questions… what are you waiting for….. call ETA today and make your plans to join us! You’ll have a BLAST!! This year is out, as I just got the big sequester weinie. Oh well, If it gets the nation to a balanced budget it is worth it.
