There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 45 degress under the tupperware at noon

Jeriatric

Thinks out loud
and snow was down to about 2000 feet on both the north and south side of the super slab (aka I-10).

Strange sighting.

Was headed west, but still on the east side of Whitewater (where it seems the wind always BLOWS 50 to 70 MPH) and saw the darndest thing headed east bound. A Wing, pulling a trailer SO LARGE it actually had glass windows in it (with screens, no less). He was two up with the wind at his back and had his hands full :yikes: nojoke

:roflblack: Jer, weren't you just complaining about the heat not that long ago? Maybe you can save up some of this cold stuff for next summer. BTW, hope you found your Eddie Bauer jacket and your longjohns. :joke:

Just kidding ya, buddy. Hope you find a happy medium to get in some comfortable riding. Ride a little for us, too, we have some snow to shed before we will see the road again.

Strange sighting perhaps,
I once watched a rider on a Gold Wing pull a Nissan Sentra back onto the road after the driver got it stuck on a sandy shoulder! The grin on the
riders face was priceless! The expression on the drivers face was far better!

Hey, it's all good!

So Cool

Had a blast today. Actually it was great riding weather. Thanks to great riding gear (shorts, flip flops and a tank top .

I'm very close to what - I think - will be THE cure to my heat issues. It's actually a rather simple fix (in my case)- just took a while to think it through.

Plz let us know your (THE) cure!!! I think my :spyder2: suffers from the same ailment or at least it did last Summer. Not much of an issue now with daytime temps in the 40-50s. Thanks,

In December the temps started dropping under the 70 degree mark here (a temperature I'd never had the chance to ride a spyder in). Prior to then it was hard to tell where and why on the heat issue. Hell, hot is hot! Mix spyder heat with ambient heat and what do you get? Heat :roflblack: with no way of knowing from where - cause it's everywhere.

Now that it's cool enough to know where the heat is coming from. Definitely get and install SpyderPops cat heat shield.

If it's your right foot too? You should check your right side foot position. Are you forced to ride with your right foot on the outer part of the peg because it wont fit under the brake pedal? If so, shim your brake pedal rubber up and it should allow you to get your foot closer to the bike(under the pedal) - this will also enhance your riding position in the twisties. Then -if that's not enough help - install SpyderPops lower heat shield - short of cutting holes in the swoop area - you will likely have done all you can do to ease your heat issue.

Something to think about. Hope it helps.

jer, hey i got everything spyderpops has to offer for heat this includes both upper and lower heat shields and the only place it gets hot is right in the crouch area near the glove box, heat just blows out from there going to try bakerwings this looks like last resort for heat relief in this area,if this works then i will have zero heat problems. but the cat sheild does do the job in that area.

You may want to revisit SP's site. Says he has a fix for this.

My heat problem is the same as scooterexpress'...heat rising up from round he glovebox. Purchased and installed SP's baffle...will have to wait until this Summer to see if the baffle helps with the "crotch" heat issue. Thanks

after talking to harvey@spyderpops he explained that this baffle will elinamate the heat from come through the side panels, he wasn't to sure it would take care of that area.its the darn cat and pipes that are causing the heat to come out in that area.i too am going to install this baffle and see what happens, but i'm guessing i'm still going to need the baker air wings to help get rid of the heat at least it will blow more air to that area even if it is hot air better then no air last year got a heat rash in that area so much heat coming from there.well the airwings will serve a dual purpose winter block wind/summer add wind..

Wonder if the new BRP adjustable wind deflectors are as effective as the Bakers? I don't have either, but know folks who have invested in the Bakers and they swear by them. Not sure if they are just rationalizing the expenditure of if the Bakers really help with the heat. Seems to me the heat will still be there and the Bakers or BRP deflectors will just blow air in the critical area while moving...no help from them while stopped at idle. I don't think there is a 100% solution since we're sitting on top of a significant heat source...just saying.

well at idle i'm not burning up just when riding on very hot days, right now i like the heat but by may its got to go.it's all about trial and error right now and i don't hear much from the group as to how they solved any heat issue other than spyderpops inventions which do work.
