There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HUH??

The new generation of "future leaders" scares me a lot. They have no loyalty and really do not care much about our county--only for themselves.

As a college professor, I have seen the quality of a lot of the students deteriorate over the last ten years.

The nation is going to have some real problems when the generation moves into positions of leadership and power.

I agree 100%. It shows in some of our current military members too. Book learning is great. But you need the street smarts to make it all come together. I have a degree backed with that 44+ years of street smarts. Yeah, I was a smart a$$ when I joined the USAF. I was bullet proof. I got broke of that attitude real quick. A few behind the hangar meetings helped me become a much better airman.

Brat

I am a military brat and my father dedicated his life to the Marine Corps before he retired. For those of you that were in service or maybe still are, I thank you so very much for your service. As of the "punk", he doesn't have a clue and that is rather sad. :wrong:

Thanks to all of you who have and are serving. We owe you big time :)

,

Yes!

Three of us served at the same time. My oldest brother was Army reserve. My older brother was in Nam when I was in basic. Later my little brother was in the Navy from '78 to '81. My wife served in the Army reserve.

"Children" today don't have a clue what our veterans have done to keep their freedom. As someone already said, it is all the "me, me, me" and they don't realize what our veterans and those who are active duty have done for them. I am very proud to tell someone that my husband is retired Air Force (and I Army Reserve). I pray that this world doesn't get so bad that this young generation would have to be drafted. We would really be in big trouble!

29 years service in the AF and now teaching JROTC at High School and some do get it. Too bad the ignorant ones tend to be vocal and remove faith in their peers. I am proud to be part of a country that has finally gotten back to appreciating those who sacrifice so much for freedom. I remember serving in the 80's that was not usually the case. hated by the locals and vilified in the press. Glad that has changed for those in uniform right now and yes military service would do all some good but having an all volunteer service sure makes for a higher quality and high morale military (both have merits and faults) I do wish all in elected office especially those putting Americans in harms way had worn the uniform at some time to know what they are asking for the services to do and when making decisions for compensation are at least as generous as they are to themselves. Ok didn't mean to hijack the conversation, God Bless America and those who protect her!!!!!

RE: grade inflation. It is going on in a rampant sort of way. I am amazed that people coming out of high school cannot read, write properly, or do simple mathematics.

I worked for one of those private colleges that take everyone, for two semesters. After I flunked half of my accounting class twice--they did not want to renew my contract--did not surprise me at all.

I still give honest grades to all my accounting students. I used to run about 5% fails--now it runs about 10%. When they tell me to back off or be "gentle", that is when I will be retiring from teaching.

:gaah: They seem to want everybody to feel great about themselves without having to do anything to earn it... :gaah:
Don't back off!

Compulsory Military Service, NO Waivers NONE. If your unable to serve in the Military then you have to do Two years Public Service AT the same pay as a Draftee gets. And No Collage deferments.
I was drafted in 65 at a starting pay of 93 dollars a month, In Nam i got a raise to 175 a month,
While some guys i knew had pull at the local draft board, And stayed safe at home making 250/300 hundred a week.
Am i mad about the way the draft was run ,You bet i am. That was 47 years ago and i still spit when i think about it. Besides the 3 Stooges running the war had absolutely no reason to get us involved in that mess.

Good soldiers, gutless politicians.

My boss in '69 had pull. His son got a draft notice and got in to the reserves for three years. I got my darft notice and all of the reserve and guard units were full.

Regarding the high school and college grades, that's a big part of the reason the US lags so far behind the rest of the world in science, math and technology.

Yeah, but they all feel so good about themselves. Certainly can't have anyone fail. That wouldn't be fair!
