• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

upcoming Big Announcement.....hmmm, what's it going to be?

A local Spyder dealer says it's a cross between the RS & RT. RT driver ergonomics and RS sporty styling (no rear saddlebags & trunk).

Local Dealer ( Daytona Fun Machines, Daytona Beach) says bigger engine (V4?)and more torque coming soon. Don't know if it is 2013 or 14, but it's in the works, according to his sources at Can-Am.

And a Real Nice facelift to the RS Model to wow the younger(?) crowd and thus facilitate More trade-ins they can double their $$$ on!!
BRP is Very Wise!!!

Wonder too....

Just got back today from a delightful four-day sprint of more than 1,000 miles through North Ga, Tenn, North Carolina and eastern Kentucky. (one day of which was spent at Harley shop with two of four Harleys) On Wednesday while the two wheelers visited horse farms around Lexington, I spent a nice couple of hours with the infamous LaMonster in east Tennessee getting a set of farkling highway brackets. (Love them). Hooked back up with the Harley's late on Wednesday in Hazard KY and sat out Thursday at Wildcat Harley in London.

Back to Spydering, true to his committments, Lamont would not divulge what's coming from BRP in two weeks or in two years other than "you'll be pleasantly surprised in both instances."

With that I make my own predictions, so mark this prophecy to see how close I am.

For 2013 we are likely to see a jazzed up and powered up sporty version of the Spyder, something of a cross between an RT and RS, a big jump in displacement and maybe additional cylinders.

In 2014 the hugh news is likely to hit with Can Am's public unveiling of a leaning front end, ala: like a motorcycle! I think they already have a prototype undergoing testing.

I do know the Lamonster is clearing out space for whatever is to be unveiled in two weeks and he swears he'll be the first to reveal the new toy on this forum!

What do you know that I dont?:bowdown:smoky

I heard

from a friend of a friends cousin that was told by his brother, who know the sister of a friend that has an Aunt that is a maid to a big shot in BRP that we will know in one week :clap::clap:

Can't Wait

I've been lurking on SpyderLovers for 2 or 3 years, enjoy the posts from the great folks on here and have learned a lot. I'm finally in a position to pull the trigger on a new Spyder in March or April. I'm really excited about the possibilities and educated guesses about the new line up. The 23rd certainly is slow getting here. Hoping the rumored STS will fit my needs and long legs and that it has a little more oomph.

Best Wishes to All
