Greg asked about my bike & dealer problems. Well they started as soon as I got it. First they had to replace the speedo buttons on the dash which was no biggy, then the power steering went out. For two wks. I'd call the service dept. about it and they just said the part was on order but would'nt tell me when it would come in. I finally called BRP and they told me "we only talk to the dealer".I thought that was kind of rude. It took over a mo. to get the part. The day I brought it home from that problem it started stalling on me. Totally it happen six times, twice on the freeway @ 70+ mph the engine just stopped like someone turned off the key. Quite the religious experience I'll tell you. I had it in twice, with them telling me they had to drive it to figure out the problem then I found out they were only driving it around the block then parking it. It seemed to fail every 200 mi. on avg. I told them to take it out and they told me they could'nt because if ins. restrictions. They had to drive it to to figure out the problem but could'nt because of the ins.
HMMMM, what was I missing here. I asked them to call BRP and for some reason they would'nt do that either. They had it for over 4 wks. total before I became such a pain they finally call them and an hr. after BRP had a new key switch in the mail. I thought that was pretty amazing.
Even with the bad customer service I still love my spyder. Hopefully all my troubles behind me but if not I will try another service dept..
