• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

One of the reasons I traded all my ATV's and trailer in on a Spyder was a recognition on my part that I needed to put a balance back in the family part of my life. Before you give me to much credit, sadly I did not recognize this on my own but it was communicated "VERY CLEARLY" by my neglected life mate!

So had the Spyder roughly a month or so, ridden solo many times but was waiting to boost the wife onto the passenger seat and go. Finally yesterday was the day, kids were both at work, more or less have the outside work completed or at least on the go. She says "lets go for a ride"!

Wow what a fantastic day it was! The bike proved to be exactly as hoped, a theraputic tool to wash away a week full of crap at work for the both of us. We are blessed to live close to the Great Lakes and we were able to meander down the northern shore of Lake Erie. Hit lot's of the small towns and enjoy and meet some folks that were just out doing the same. We stopped about every hour or so, had a smoke and enjoyed some quality time. Had a great lunch along the way and after about 4-5 hours we looped back home. I still say these damn things are overpriced but perhaps I appreciate more today why they can get away with it?

So...........if you haven't lately, throw the spouse on the back and get him or her out for a ride. In the end the price is comparable to conventional marriage counseling but I assure you it is a lot more fun.

Yep... that is how it started in our case! From a "I don't care..." to "This is fun" to "I want to learn how to rYde it in case you can't" until finally you are a 2 :spyder2: family :shemademe_smilie:!
:congrats:

Those two up rydes can be great. I know exactly what you mean about getting aborad and all of a sudden the junk of the week disappears.

I can relate...ever since we bought another Spyder for the wife I have no problem getting her interested in going out on a journey...doesn't matter what the destination is...She's usually the one pushing for more rides..may have something to do with the fact that I'm retired and she's still working...it's stress relief for her....to my advantage...:)

It all started for us with me getting a brochure in the mail from BRP announcing the 2008 spyder concept coming to market. I got the bug right of way and wanted to get my bike license and then my wife gave me my safety course for my birthday in 2010 , I got my m2 license and started looking at RS-S model and then My wife wanted to come along and look too. As soon as she saw the Rs-S small rear seat and the nice comfy black RTS parked beside the Rss ,that was it if I was getting any trike it would be the RTS. I also have neck issues and would not be comfortable on the RSS so the RTS was a better fit for me. So in a matter of 20min she went from not wanting to ride to hey this looks like fun. We have had a fun time riding together and have met so many great people and made some new friends too.

When somebody asks why did you get the RT I just say:shemademe_smilie::shemademe_smilie: with a big smile.
