Fender tips and mud flap light kit

I am thinking about adding the fender tip lights and mud flap light kit to my RS. This will add more running lights and additional turn signals. The question is for those that have done this to their Ryde...are you happy you did this mod? Anything to add?

Don't do it Kevin, it's hard enough to tell our Spyders apart as it is.

Seriously though, it is a great mod. More lights = more visibility.

I have them both and think they are great. The mud flap lights really light up bright and until this past weekend I didn't realize, it also gives you a backup turn signal when your rear one goes out because someone wasn't paying attention..walks away whistling...

Anything to add? as in mods.. I also like my center brake light. I am waiting for my turn signal mod to be delivered ( gives you a light to the left and right on the dash to tell which way it is blinking ).

I have Fender tip led bulbs and TricFenderz from site supporting vendor here www.tricled.com and I am very happy, they have also section On their website called "member links" and you can see nice and cheap mudflap LEDs from Spydergirl is it I think.
Excellent well reputable customer service records these guys have, can't go wrong.

I did this, and very happy with the results. While the rear fender reflectors do work when headlights hit them, having the lights on all the time, and flashing when the turn signal is on makes me feel safer alone.

But Teddy & I wanted the added safety that the additional turn signals provide, along with being on a very tight budget, and found these at Auto Zone for $9.99 for the pair. They stick on the RT mirrors with 3M tape & directly hook into the RT wiring with a couple of Posi-Taps out of view, You can't see any wiring unless your look'n for it at the very corner. Now I can easily see when I may have missed the turn signal (push-In) Cancel button & accidently hit the other side. Works & looks like OEM and for only about $15. and especially when we ryde at night, which is about every day, they add the extra visibility I think that most of us seek.

I would think these would look good on the RS mirrors, how about you?

These are the ones I have, great price and do a good job.

I went with switching all of the signal, tail & turn lamps to LED. Also installed Double & Triple Play and Fenderz and Mudflaps. They are setup to be running and turn signals. It is amazing how much brighter, thus more visible the RS is with these mods. In total not cheap but worth it IMHO.

The fender tip mod is the best because it turns the front wheel wiring into running and signal.
What you can afford after that is up to your $ situation.
I sprung for the Bright sides- BUT used a $10 peti-Built truck light ($10 Each form SuperbrightLEDS ) for the Mud Flaps and their ALL still working today.
The left Mudflap is in the picture.

It's very easy Bob. For the mud flap light just wire tie to the fender bracket. Wire ties come with the kit.
As far as the the Brightsides, I don't have them but I believe the wire would jump over a short distance to the pocket in the fender that holds the fender tip light and would not be a problem.

I have the fender tip lights and made my own mudflap lghts. Very worthwhile mods. The mud flap lights let cars know just how wide the GS is and get thier attention.

As far as the the Brightsides, I don't have them but I believe the wire would jump over a short distance to the pocket in the fender that holds the fender tip light and would not be a problem.
