• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wind Shield

like someone REALLY needs a bigger sail on an RT....?
I rode up to and back from the Smoky Mountains this
morning; and hit some good wind gusts. once I dropped
the windshield down, my RT handled better in the wind.

the amount of surface that the wind catches is, something
I've had to get used to.

Well, I'm a tall, wide guy.

Here's the Custom Dynamics F4 Short-Wide windshield on my RT Ltd. It lowers enough to get below my sightline but can be raised when you want to use it for protection in bad weather or to reduce buffeting.

Anyone making a smoked windshield for the RT ?:dontknow:

To my knowledge there are no suppliers of tinted windshields for the RT. Given that I have exhausted my web search, I am in the process of contacting a local (London) graphic's company to see about applying a light smoked windshield tint to my RT windshield. I expect to hear back from them early next week and will keep you posted on my findings.

Thanks North Star  I went to a few window tint places and all said that the film won't stick well' best they could come up with was spray tint in a can .

Confirmed what fastfraser reported in a previous post. Window tint material cannot be applied to the windshield of a Spyder.

Maybe some day a supplier will fabricate an aftermarket lightly tinted windshield for the RT.

Have you tried Rifle in the US they will make custom sceens in clear or smoked.

If they think there is enough business they would add to their product line. They make for the RS. Rifle.com

E mailed several potential suppliers (Cee Bailey and Rifle to name a few) Nothing positive yet, and I don't expect there to be any takers in the short term, but you never know.

Hi,

I had Rifle make a custom screen for my V-Rod. Sent them the dimensions and curvature (how far set back is at the sides from the center) and they made me a screen. On the site is a Custom section where you can submit if I rember correctly. Note this was last year so should still do. I think they may even drill the holes although I di my own.

They just cut it out of the smoked material and heat curve it.

Just received a message back from both Cee Bailey and Rifle. No plans for manufacture of an RT tinted windshield.:(
