Teddy's New Adventures

So sad about Steve Jobs. Sit'n @ hospital now with my brothers

Jobs delayed his own cancer treatment for 9 months to try "alternative" treatments & has now passed away WAY to young. Ive personally witnessed this same scenario in my own family several times. Both my parents have passed, bothers & sisters thats ive never known are all gone as well. Last year, I had a brother that delayed treatment til he realized the inevitable end was near, then begged for treatment, only too late for anything to be done. Now, I find myself sitting here, this time with my brother thats closest in age to me (6yrs older) praying the results arent going to be the same for him.

Teddys still stuck at home. Hopefully all goes well here & since the suns out for the 1st time in a few days, I'll be able to take Teddy out for a nice ryde. Sorry to kinda unload on ya's here, I try to keep this thread geared toward Teddy & his SpYder'n Adventures, but its my reality at this moment. Any prayers are much appreciated

I think situations like yours are sometimes hardest on family and friends, but either way, it just sucks! I'm so sorry to hear about your brother and what you've gone thru, and are going thru. I will keep you both in my prayers.:pray:

Thanks for the prayers ...... So far, Good News

Well, they removed 8 polyps & when it was all over, the surgeon came out to talk with my other brother and I. His surgeon is confident that none removed were cancerous but that we have to wait for the biopsy results next week for concrete confirmation. All else in his opinion, looked well. Tho, unfortunately, this doesn't explain why he's having so much abdominal pain & have been having bloody #2's for the past year, that he's tried to ignore thinking if he doesn't acknowledge it, it will go away. Its not gone away, but hasn't killed him yet either. But we all know, its NOT normal. Hopefully, at least now that he's seeking medical intervention, someone can figure something out to help him. Again, thanks for those of you that took a moment to send your positive energy our way.

I knew I'd probably have a mess to clean up when I got home, cause it wasn't til after 6pm & that's just ask'n too much for Teddy to deal with. No worries, I didn't yell at him, just the shameful look with those puppy-dog eyes lets me know all I need to know.

After I cleaned up, I geared him up & out we went for a ryde. Was nice, right before dusk, so ppl could still see the lil guy on the back of his spyder. I didn't take any pics, but he had SO much attention tonight, I was held up twice with requests for information about the spyder & requests for pics of Teddy. Had 2 different women at 2 different places that both Thanked us & BOTH SAID THAT "SEE'N TEDDY ON THE BACK OF HIS SPYDER", "THAT JUST MADE MY DAY" I'm not sure if their could be any more greater compliment that we could get, than that:2thumbs:

hey dave

sorry to here of your brother's situation, positive energy, thoughts, and prayers coming your way,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,coz:thumbup:

Ok, so I'm pretty sure I'm a redneck:roflblack: After I got home from work yesterday (19 mile ryde in the rain) I started to dry off Teds Red Sled using the shamois that I keep handy for just such an occasion, when I thought to myself, "Surely theres a more effecient way to go about this." Since I was in the garage, I looked around for inspiration & it was staring right at me. My favorite car wash has a bay set-up for bikes & has a blower rigt in the wash bay so that you can blow-dry yourbike before ever moving it from the wassh bay. When I looked on the wall of my garage, I saw the leaf blower & tadah, redneck inginuity at its best. Withen 10 minutes, Teds Red Sled was nice & dry, even under the windshield mounts that are impossible to get to with a towel:2thumbs: & it looked good. Just thought I'd share my RedNeck moment with y'all:thumbup: Get'R'Done! :roflblack:
HOT DOG WHODATHUNK!!!!!! I got a leaf blower Thanks for the new way to dry off one's vehicles!!!! Beats working all day at that!!!

:pray::pray: for you and your brother. and :2thumbs: on the leaf blower....I got one...very seldom use...now I will.

just a word of caution on the "Leaf Blower Spyder Dryer"

I'm still working on a solution for the "spots" that appear in direct sunlight the next ryde you take. At least, this is what I've found. Ive ridden at least 3 out of the last 6 days in rainy weather, & after each ryde, I "Blowed" it off, nice & dry, looks great in the garage. But the next sunny ryde, I usually notice spots, especially on the mirrors that just drive me crazy. I found a synthetic spray wax that looks promising so far, but nothing yet that I'd recommend personally. Let me know if anyone out there has any suggestions or experience with this. I love drying the byke this way, & it looks great, but I wish I didn't have to deal with "THOSE DANG SPOTS!"
:roflblack: & you know Teddy won't be caught "Ryde'n Dirty" :roflblack:

Wish Teddy luck. Tho really, he's not "Dressed" up, He's "Geared" :doorag:

I just carry a microfiber towel in my trunk, and clean the mirrors before I ride. It's like the old trick of spiffing up the bathroom when company unexpectedly knocks at the door. If the mirrors look clean, the rest looks better. Anytime the spots on the red bother you, think of your old black Spyder. The red is better by far at not showing the crud. :D

Teddy didn't win, but he did get 2nd place  & we're fine with that, cause the first place winner Deserved to win. Was a Schnauzer dressed as a miniture Clydesdale & their owner made a small Budwiser Beer Wagon & had the dog pulling it. Looked Awesome!!!

Your correct about the red, much more concealing than the black. & pup, we have a few towels in the truck.

I like pledge as well, but was thinking more along the lines of spraying on the Spyder while its still wet, right before blow drying & that way it would dry "dot" free

He's really close, lives over in Ranger KY only about 10 minutes from me. He walked the parade today with Teddy & I & he got to witness Teddy's "STAR" POWER 1st hand & we were robbed most the Festival. Guess the secrets out in the neighborhood now :roflblack: Oh & for Arntufun, I was almost "raped" by 2 young women at a gas stop today & I took a pic of them with Teddy, just for your viewing pleasure :doorag: You can see in the pic how much Teddy loves being a "STAR" & schmoozing with his fans :thumbup:IMG_20111023_134908.jpg

WOW!!! Even Teddy has Haters & Compitition brought her out

This past Sunday was the doggy Paw-Rade at Goble Park in Mainstrasse Village. My brothers actually surprised us & showed up, even with my 1 year old Great Nephew in tow. Also got to meet Stan (SportySpider). In person & he walked the entire Paw_Rade route with us:thumbup: We LOVE Meeting other Spyder Ryders:2thumbs:

Well, after getting registered for the doggy costume contest, one of the registers suggested I talk with one of the judges about allowing Teddy to go thru the Paw-Rade & judging while ryding his Spyder. As soon as another intrant overheard this, she started objecting that that wouldn't be fair. Once she saw Teddy, she actually told me straight to my face, "You need to get lost, cause I'm Not gonna get beat, I'm WINNING this Compitition!" almost like a scene from one of those "bitchy" reality shows :roflblack: WOW, what a B:cus:H I thought to myself. I just kinda half heartedly chuckled, but this lady was SERIOUS, as a Heart Attack. She had made a round card-board table with cards & poker chips glued to it, and had 4 cardboard dogs paainted on it, & the whole thing was attatched to her real dog, going for the theme "5 dogs playing poker" complete even with cigars & drinks & it DID look cool. When asked what Teddy was dressed up as, I erroneously told her that, well, he really wasn't "dressed up" as much as he was "geared up" as this was what he normally wears everyday when he rydes. OOOPPPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSS on my part. "Judge, Judge, this is a COSTUME contest & this dog isn't wearing one, so he should be disqualified, NOW!!!" WTF Lady, are you serious??? OMG, if its that big a deal, I mean really, GET A LYFE!!! The judge looked at Teddy, smiled & laughed & blew the lady off;) FYI, this "lady" DID win 1st place for the Art Themed Contest, which Teddy & I weren't even in. Stupid B:cus:H!!! Sorry, she was just a really "UGLY" person when it came to compitition:lecturef_smilie:

Anyways, Teddy got the STAR TREATMENT all day, people everywhere asking for a pose to take their pics, so we oblidged as often as possible. Before we left, I geared him up & put him on the back of his Spyder, & we did take a 2nd place Victory Lap for all the on-lookers to get anoher pic, this time with him actually "do'n his thang" & ryde"n the Spyder & just about Everyone (didn't see our "friend" anymore:roflblack:) LOVED IT:thumbup:

Absolutely Wonderful day for a ryde

Mostly sunny & I think it made it up to 80F today. We rode from 3pm til well after dark. Stopping here & there for photo ops of the fall foliage & also to allow Teddys fans an opportunity to get a pic or two for themselves:thumbup: of the lil guy:doorag:
