ok, yesterday was about a waste. .......... but a well needed one

ok, I guess this is the part where I admit that I'm get'n OLD :yikes:

got home from work, after 2 12's & an 10 hr. shift, after the aforementioned weekend & after taking Teddy out to do his thing, I'm pretty sure I passed out on the couch & didn't wake up til my alarm went off at 4:30 this morning. Good thing it went off, or I'd probably still be sleep'n right now:shocked:

Felt kinda weird this morning when I woke up. Guess Teddy needed the rest as well, cause he was still snuggled under my arm & the couch blanket, snoozing away himself. Last night was the first night in a long long time that I didn't take Teddy out for a ryde. Figures, today its suppose to be rain. I'll still figure a way to make it up to the lil guy:thumbup:

WOW, hard to believe the weekend is almost here again, & we'll be packing up tomorrow after work & heading down to the Kentucky Lake Spyder Get-to-gether :joke:

ITS FRIDAY!!! YAY!!! Another Fantastic WeekEnd of SpYders

Well, it was a wet ryde home from work yesterday. Didn't get to take Teddy out last night, so we stayed in & I shaved his pet kitty & himself down for the last time before winter. They were both start'n to look scraggly, & figured he should be look'n good for the KY Lake Spyder get-together starting tonight. Got most of him done last night, just gotta finish some clean up trim'n & to "brighten" his Mow-Hawk. Can't have a star like Teddy with his "roots" showing :roflblack: He'd end up being fodder on TMZ or something:roflblack: & we just can't allow that:lecturef_smilie::roflblack:

Sadly, we didn't make the KY Lake Rally

A combination of lack of communication from work, lack of sleep & lack of financial means came together to kick us where it counts, & forced us to forego this last weekend get together. Since I had been working so much OT & not getting much sleep, I decided to try and take a nap when I got home from work on Friday. If I had left at 4 like I was planning, we'd have missed the diknner on Friday night. So I thought it best to just get some sleep & leave early in the morning for the 5 - 6 hour trip. Only problem, half hour into my nap, work calls & wakes me up. An old Team Leader wants me to work tomorrow in a job I haven't done in years. I had just been woken up & was totally out of it & just replied that I was already working in my Dept. tomorrow, not realizing that "tomorrow" was meaning Saturday & that I WASN'T working, but again, I was out of it. After the call I couldn't get back to sleep and started sneezing like crazy. The broken rib doesn't really bother me anymore, except when I try to sleep or I SNEEZE! One thing lead to another & to another, then I poke into finances & realize the "emergency" hotel I got last week for 4 hrs sleep & cost almost $100 bucks ate away most of my planned gas money for this trip. So, here I am, tired, sore, sneezing like crazy, broke and a bald tire to boot. Not a good recipe for a potential 800 mile trip, so I texted StriperKing on Saturday morning to let him know the bad news. He understood & now I'm hoping they do this KY Lake Rally every year so we can plan better & make it next year. It looks like they had PERFECT RYDE'N WEATHER all weekend!

I know I shouldn't be SO frustrated with myself right now, but every time I look at the KYLake thread & I see new pics that have been added along with the recounts of the weekends Adventures, It makes me wish we had attended even more.

Sit'n in the dark without POWER

WoW, you get to hear alot when a ThunderStorm Blows thru & kills your POWER. Guess its been a while since we've gone thru a power outtage & thunderstorm. Thank goodness for all these battery powered gizmos that can thanfully keep us semi-functional:roflblack:

Cell phone- Call & have dinner delivered
Battery Powered Flash Light- Oh cool, I don't have to stub my toe or fall down the steps

WHAT A HORRIBLE REALIZATION

We live in a condo, right now..... without Power. Which I was fine with, til I just realized, if we wanted to go for a ryde, now that the storm has passed............. :shocked:WE COULDN'T!!!!!:shocked:

TEDS RED SLED is always kept locked in the garage, which has no other door besides the Power Garage Door **** THAT DOESN'T WORK RIGHT NOW **** Thinking about this, I believe Teddy is starting to have SEPERATION ANXIETY from being locked away from his SpYder.

Sure hope they get the Power back on before 5:30am :shocked:

Whew, I thought Teddy was gonna have a panic attack being locked away from his Spyder last night :roflblack::roflblack:

Got a chuckle when I came into work this morning. I was thinking to myself (UHOH!) as I was taking off my full-face helmet & stowing it away in the Spyder (rain all day today) that my co-workers must think I'm an IDIOT! Again, Im the only byke in the parking lot, when their are usually dozens, but since its in the 40s & raining, no one else rydes. As this thought passed thru my head, a co-worker passes by me & not really asking a question, but more making a statement, comments, "do you even own a car?" just made me chuckle & smile.:doorag:

Check out these pics. As we were out walking the other day, Teddy runs right into his long lost human brother. I just HAD to take a pic for proof. There's no deny'n the relation there :roflblack:

I had to explain, "Its only cold & wet on the OUTSIDE"

Tis that time of year again. Broke out my FIRSTGEAR THERMO RIDING SUIT that I got from BAJARON last year, for the ryde in to work this morning. Was wet, still raining & suppose to all day today & was 43F degrees on this mornings ryde. There's NO WAY I'd have even tried it without that suit. I wish people could understand how great of a product it truly is. Just had a conversation with a co-worker, went something like this.

HIM:
In the 40's & raining, tell me you didn't ryde in today?
ME:
You know I did.
HIM:
But the cold, the rain, it musta been a miserable ryde?
ME:
Not at all. With my 1 peice FIRSTGEAR RYDING SUIT, its only cold & wet on the OUTSIDE. I wear gloves, full helmet, Ryding suit & boots, dude, I'm totally covered. I feel almost like an astronaut, warm & cozy on the inside, protected & safe from all the bitter stuff on the outside. I'm as comfortable as you are in your car, really.

Yep totally agree on your review of the suit...wore mine for first time last week on 5 day ryde....LOVED it...sooooo glad I bought it from Ron (bajaron)...Give Teddy a love for me....

I sure that's in the works and coming real soon, Sorry we were not able to meet but I think you and Teddy are really cool. Would love
to go riding with you guys someday soon. And not to worry, Judy and I love to spoil dogs so Teddy would fit in real well around us.
Anyway sometime soon we will ride Spyder style.
