• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've seen a few discussions on "waving" so here's all the answers to why they don't!!!

5. Angry because they just took out second mortgage to pay luxury tax on new Harley.
4. Just discovered the fine print in owner's manual and realized H-D is partially owned by Honda.
3. Can't tell if other riders are waving or just reaching to cover their ears like everyone else.
2. Remembers the last time a Harley rider waved back, he impaled his hand on spiked helmet.
1. They're too tired from spending hours polishing all that chrome to lift their arms.

5. They look way too cool with both hands on the bars or they don't want to unbalance themselves while standing on the tank.
4. Their skin tight-Kevlar-ballistic-nylon-kangaroo-leather suits prevent any position other than fetal.
3. Raising an arm allows bugs into the armholes of their tank tops.
2. It's too hard to do one-handed stoppies.
1. They were too busy slipping their flip-flop back on.

:roflblack: I thought they were all very funny, however, my husband the Aerostitch wearing Harley rider who waves to everyone didn't laugh as hard as me.

Great stuff, Bruce! And speaking of waving back, was that you I passed as you were heading south of Hope on highway 7 a couple of weeks ago? I was riding 2 up on my yellow Spyder.

Careful, this could pertain to just about any/all RT-S and RT Ltd. riders too and maybe an RT (A&C + extras) rider or so. Where's my "auto wave back" button, hidden in the left hand multi-function gizmo? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Only thing HD was missing was the  when polishing the chrome.

Chuckles of a different kind

I know this post isn't about this, but I still chuckle about it.

As anyone who rides a :spyder2: knows, you are an immediate rock star. I still ride with my former HOG chapter as I have been a member for over 10 years. These are my friends and they accept me and my :spyder2:. (isn't that a song?)

Anyhow, yesterday at breakfast, about 20 Harleys and 1 little red RS pulled up to the restaurant. As always happens, the $30,000+ chrome laden Screamin Eagles are ignored and you can guess who gets all the attention.

I wouldn't trade the attention for the world. For some reason, in my area of the state, there are not too many :spyder2: so I have a lot of people asking a lot of questions. I always point them in the direction of the local dealer and maybe we can get more :spyder2: riders (lovers) on the street. :ohyea:

That is a funny and informative post.

Hopefully the comments will be taken for the humor that was intended, and not cause offense by those who own a particular brand.

How about coming up with another list as to why Spyder ryders dont wave? I know this will be hard--because we like them so much that we want to wave at everyone.

I will go first: Spyder ryders don't wave because they are too busy trying to figure out why the limp mode just came on.
