• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

6x10 trailer question

Found a 6x10 utility trailer with a 48" ramp at Tractor Supply. It's the usual 2x6 plank floor design that you see everywhere. The ramp is a full 6 feet wide so I know my Spyder will clear it width-wise with no problem.
The trailer has 15" tires. The question is: will the Spyder bottom out when going up the ramp? There's probably a mathematical answer to this that I'm just not smart enough to figure out.
Anybody else have this type of trailer or did you figure out it wouldn't work before you bought it?? Thanks.

Add 2 planks to the bottom of the trailer deck for the front wheels to ride up on when loading your Spyder and it will give you more clearance for the bottom of the Spyder.

OR use one of these...Hyd.DropTail Trailer...I like mine and Spyder loves it...:2thumbs:..

Are you sure it is a 6X10. I have been over to the local tractor supply and they told me that they do not make a 6X10 trailer. :spyder:Better measure it to be sure.:dontknow:

The one I looked at the other day was a 5x10. The next size up is a 7x12.

Where might they be available???????

I purchased mine from a DropTail dealer in Atlanta And opt not for fwd storage box Because of Spyder nose. Just Google DropTail Trailers
they have a complete list of dealers Nationwide...
Model I have is DT-DCT2200...

6x10 works fine. Actually, mine is 76x120 with a 4" drop axle, so I don't have an issues loading. Without the drop, you can extend the ramp with 2x6's, or just raise the front end of the trailer thereby lowering the rear.

If the top of the bed is 10 inches off the ground, a 48 inch ramp should be pretty close, you might need a plywood apron.

Back the trailer up to small incline so its a straighter drive and no incline on the ramp to mess anything up. That what I have done in the past and it worked just fine.

Wow - I really like your set-up. I've been trying to find a used 6x10 trailer, but they're hard to come by. 5x8s are easy to find, though. Can you post pics of how you do the tie-downs? Thanks!

The tie-downs are standard ratchet straps through the rims, per the manual. Nothing fancy.
