• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do it yourself oil & filter change

Just picked up my wife's RT SE5 from the dealer where I paid $258 for the oil and filer change. This is the third service on the bike and she handled the first two intervals so I wasn't aware of the exorbitant charge. Oil and filter cost $66.98 and the rest was labor.

I'm sure I can do this myself as I have done it on my Gold Wing but the instructions in the Spyder manual aren't very clear. I tried a search for a step by step thread that may have been posted previously but nothing turned up. Can someone direct me to a thread on this topic... surely it has been covered before?

Hats off to that Lamonster Fella !!!!! He is going to save me a boat load of cash. Thank you so much. I'm a new (but it's preowned 5100 miles on her) spyder owner and a matter of fact I'm new to Spyderlovers also. This is a invaluable website !!! Now I can do more mods. LOL Thanks again. When I was on two wheels (crotch rocket) there was not a website like this. Can you say "UPGRADE".

:congrats: on being a new owner and :welcome: to the site. You have come to the right place for information and support. Dennis
