• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Fog lights not working after DPS replacemant

As my title suggests I have no fog lights after getting my bike back from the dealer. The fuse is ok so I'm assuming they left the lights unplugged from the wiring harness. Can anyone tell me how I go about finding and accessing the area in question? Any help would be great. Thanks!

I can't tell you how to fix it but I had a similar problem when I had my DPS replaced. My turn signals wouldn't cancel and my bright lights didn't work. I took it back and had the dealer make the repairs. Good luck.

The connectors in question are under the trunk. Not sure if you will be able to snag them through the wheelwells and reconnect. Take it back to your dealer and make the boys do it right.

Same thing happened to me, only it was just one of the fog lights.
The dealer was able to make the connection in about 5 minutes without dismantling anything.

You can take it back to the dealership, but re-connecting the fog lights is super-easy. If you remove the panel that covers the oil tank (as if you were going to check the oil level) you can clearly see the back of the fog light and will be able to tell if the fog light connector is undone. If you don't want to remove the panel, you can still use a flashlight and pretty easily see if the connector is unplugged. It's under the body area just above where the upper A-Arm is connects to the frame.

Normally, yes, if you are lucky and it was just unplugged. Sometimes they are routed through the opening between the frame and the trunk. If the wires slipped in behind the trunk when it was removed to replace the DPS, they will be hard to retrieve. I had to snag mine with a hooked wire after one side was left off during the PDI. It pretty much takes a contortionist without the wheel and fender off. The dealer should make this right...it was his screw-up.

Thanks for all your help guys. I looked at the connections at the back of the light fixtures and there plugged in there. So I think the the problem is as Scotty suggests. I know the dealer should make it right but I live out in the sticks and my closest dealer is an hour away and the weather is not so good right now so I was just exploring doing it myself. I'm fairly mechanical so I still may try it myself. Time to get the shop manual out lol.
