• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Campers

There have been several posts about Campers for our Can Ams. Thought I would share ours with everyone. Some folks do not know a Hard Side Unit is available.
Our "Little Guy has AC & Heat, Flat Screen TV, and a 10' X 10' X 8' Room.
For one night stays we use just the Camper. for a longer time we can set up the Room in less than 10 minutes. We have had several different types of campers but really like this one because we can get out of the weather without having to set anything up.:ohyea:

Nice unit! A couple of questions:
What does it weigh?
Does the external room have a separate rainfly (not shown)?
What size wheels/tires?

Little Guy is a little heavy at 490 lb but tows as well as the 300 lb pop ups I had. I think the reason is the suspension and wheel size. 175/80R13. I am getting 31mph towing.
Although not shown in the photo, there is a Rain Fly for the Room

Hi Padre Spyder: Thanks for sharing the info about your camper

I did a google search and found little guy website here is the link
www.golittleguy.com/teardrops. I am assuming your model is called the "rascal" as the info mentions that it can be pulled by a motorcycle.

I can't get that mileage with no trailer, not even mine.
What speed do you travel? High way etc.???

What is your magic to get 31 with the trailer?? Dang you must be getting 40 without the trailer..

:agree:31 MPG pulling 490 lbs  Man whats your secret ?

nice! thanks for sharing... any pics of inside?

would be neet if they made the front more like the lil guy RT trailer for reduced air resistance.

I saw one of these on TV the other day and wondered about them. Found a dealer near bye that sells them but with the snow, have not been down there yet.

How did you coneck the lights up ?
Thanks for the info.

Looks great! I went to the website and saw the Little Guy 6-Wide Sport model that has a platform for motorcycles or an atv--anyone know if the Spyder would fit? That would be a great way to haul the Spyder if needed, and still be able to ryde once you arrive.

Too narrow and short to load a Spyder, and it would add too much tongue weight if you could. Sorry.

this is my cargo trailer that i built.wonder if i can stretch it

:agree: :2thumbs:
I know that BRP is isting 400 punds as the towing limit, so I had kind of figured that the "Little Guys" were just a bit on the pudgy side for Spyder-duty...
Now I'm going to have to re-think this position... Thanks for the info!

I only dropped 4 MPG with the trailer, 35 without, 31 with. Traveling 60 to 65. I had towed with a 2008 SM5 which was actually 1 MPG less, 34 & 30. Running 70 to 75 without the trailer gets me a flat 30.

There have been a number of posts concerning trailer lighting & wiring. I followed the consensus and installed an extra set of lights for turn signals. Works great.
