• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders in the Smokies Rally, who's going?

I'll be there again. Look forward to the ride. I would rather do 2000 miles on one ride. Rather than one mile 2000 times. Love the open road. :ohyea:

I'll be arriving Tuesday, heading home Saturday morning. Have reservations at the Microtel. Looking forward to meeting a whole bunch of new friends! :2thumbs:

We will be there for the first time, so excited to see the smokies. We are booked at the Microtel 21st thru 24th. Planning to go to the BBQ too. Anyone going from Minnesota PM us maybe we can ride down together.

I did Tail of the Dragon last year. Anyone interested in doing a ride from Smokey's over the the Top of the Parkway through Great Smoky Mountains National Park and back via 321 through Pigeon Forge instead. Looks like about a 50 mile trip with lots of nice twisties.

What day are you planning on doing the Dragon?
Sounds great except the Pigeon Forge portion. That was miserable last year. Can anyone post if construction is done and traffic flows smoother?

Orange Spydie Girl and I will be there from Sunday-Saturday staying at the Red Roof Inn. Cant wait too see old friends and make new ones.

We will be rolling in sometime on Wednesday, and probably end up meeting a lot of you at Smoky's Pub & Grub for the Meet and Greet.

Didn't plan to do the Dragon since I've already done it...Top of the Parkway was an alternative leaving more time to relax before heading to Lamont's BBQ. However, if people would rather, we could do the Top of the Parkway on another day. I'm going to plan it out and we can decide the WHEN part later.

Only selected Pigeon Forge to avoid "retracing" the same road back to G'burg. This is an alternative to avoid Pigeon Forge...sees more of the National Park but also triples the length. Can't find any other roads to make it shorter

YIKES! I booked a room for two nights at the Days Inn in Pigeon Forge...what happened there last year that has everyone in a "stay away" mode?

I'll be making the ryde up there on Thursday and should get there in time for Lamonts BBQ :clap:and will be staying until close of business Saturday.

Can't wait to meet all my new friends! :2excited:

We'll be heading down from Michigan and would like to meet up with others from the region that are attending. Would be nice to ride down as a regional group if anybody's interested.
