• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Patriot Guard

Unfortunately, there'll be more Patriot Guard missions to do.

Very true.

While waiting for the national site to get back on line (hacker?) I emailed the SouCal coordinator to put me on the list. This is a great way to put our country and rYding together. God bless all of you who took the extra step.

Let me know how it works out brother. I would be blessed to join you if God permits.

I have yet to ryde my Spyder as a PGR member. I have been a member over 5 years now and participated in several missions. I am honored to stand for those who stood for us. Participate in just one PGR mission and you too will be proud to call yourself a PGR member!

Desert Spyder

I just watched the video on the link you posted... it got the best of me. These events make me real sad. And when I think about all the people just like me, Lamont and many others on this site that have family members over there it is almost unbearable. Ken

Let's do it people. Even if you serve only one mission, it may be the most important one to serve. Serving God, our country, and others should never be on the back burner. Besides, it feels good to serve!:2thumbs:

It's great to see the PGR recruiting more members. Being part of a ceremony and being there by request of the family in support of their son or daughter, brother or sister, husband or wife, or mother or father is a feeling and experience you'll cherish, especially when those :cus: protesters make a mockery of a soldiers ultimate sacrifice. It leaves you with an indelible impression and a proud feeling of continued service.

God Bless!

First mission

I just signed up too.

I just did my first mission today. It was only a 12 minute drive, and an hour after work for me. It was a welcoming home for a fellow PGR's son that returned from Iraq. Turned out there was three soldiers (two Army and 1 Air Force) on the plane. We formed the flag line just outside of the baggage claim area. It was so cool to see people that were passing by, and airport employees joining in on the clapping. One of the boys had a smile on his face, but it looked like he was embarrassed by the attention. After he walked past the area shaking hands with those that he could I saw him wipe a tear from his eye. It was a strange experience for me, as I was proud for him, happy for his parents, and sad thinking that my daughter will be leaving in 40 days. All I can say is I am glad my first mission was someone coming home alive and well. It was also nice to meet other riders that care for the soldiers. I talked to one lady about my daughter, and she told me that when I get an address for my daughter she wants to send her cookies. Thanks for posting on this site about Patriot Guard Riders, as I would not have known about them otherwise.
