• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Sightings

Spyder sighting on AZ loop ride

I saw three along my way.

One (red, I think) near Fountain Hills, another silver one in Lake Havasu City, and a Yellow one near Prescott Valley.

There are getting to be more of us out there, but we are still a "rare breed"

A few weeks ago saw a yellow Spyder on Cortaro Farms Rd west bound between Camino De Oeste and Hartman roads, Tucson, AZ. I was heading eastbound. It was cool, only rider out there to give me the "wave". Others so far just look and speed off.

Saw my first Sypder since purchasing my own a month ago. :dontknow:

2 up Blue RT with Audio and Convenience. Route 60 in Beverly OH. They were both wearing shorts. I was on my red RS behind a mirrored visor. Surprised it took this long to see one. I saw them more often before I pulled the trigger.

Whoever it was, they looked like they were enjoying themselves. :ohyea:

Pahrump, NV toward Las Vegas on 05/15/2010

We were coming home to Pahrump from LV this afternoon and were so excited to see 2 up going toward Las Vegas. We all waved and smiled but didn't get a chance to talk. It was great to see other friendly faces!

I think any Georgia riders in my area might be keeping their Syders clean, in the garage? You out there????

Mine is dirty! A beautiful combination of brake dust and yellow pollen. I rode towards Auburn yesterday on Mt. Moriah Road trying to get some fresh air away from traffic. What color is your SM5?
While on Highway 56 near Lyons, Kansas last week I met two west bound decked out RSs. One was yellow with yellow Corbins.

Swing by Marana sometime and you will see me on my red one! :ani29:

I was up at Gladden Farms riding around a few weeks ago. You near there? My brother says someone in Continental Ranch has a red one. Haven't seen that one yet. I'm over by Thornydale and Cortaro Farms Rd area.

I've had my Spyder almost two years now, And i can honestly say Ive only seen two other Spyders! The strange thing it there's a dealer ten miles from me who says he sold over one hundred Spyders since they came out?? Go figure?

Still only two.:dontknow: Guess i got to drive farther than to the end of my driveway.:ohyea:

I'm past Gladden Farms off of Moore in the last development to the left of Tangerine. I'm the only red one I have seen out here. In fact I haven't seen another Spyder yet. I used to live off of Shannon and Overton a few years ago. Maybe I'l see ya around! Did you get your RT from RideNow off Ina?:ani29:

last wednesday I saw one of the two other spyders in town, older riders on yellow sm5's, Believe me when I say its funny that there are three spyders in dirt town which is 75 miles from the nearest dealer. I was eating with another buddy that does not ride and should have flew over there and ask him if he wanted to race for the crown of dirt town fastest spyder.

Guilt, a powerful tool.

I've got an 09 SM% silver/black. I'll send you a PM, maybe we can get out fore a ride someday?
Ride safe

On my way to work this morning I came in the back way to Eden Prairie -- up 101 (near the swampy area) and passed a black Spyder with a nifty yellow pin stripe going the opposite direction.

There was a 2-wheeled m/c in front of the Spyder rider. Not sure if they were together.

Red RS in NJ 5/13

Had a red one go by on the Jersey Turnpike last Thursday (5/13) about 9PM. Traveling southbound around exit 10. Think the license said "1Cuge". We waved but it was a little too dark to see.

Myrtle Beach, SC

I saw 1 yellow one 2 up on Hwy 17 going in the opposite direction. We waved. Later on ending up running into them and found out his name is Rob and he is a new owner by a month. It was great talking with him and his wife about the Spyders. I told him about this site, and am hoping he will be showing up here soon if he hasn't already.

While we were ryding with them I also saw another yellow one in the parking lot of a restaurant, but didn't get the name. It was about 12:15 AM or so on Hwy 17 in Surfside Beach area.

No other sightings besides that.

On the way home I did have a couple of Harley riders come up to us at a gas station. They asked if we were having some kind of convention at Myrtle Beach because they saw a bunch of the Spyders there. It turns out they saw the Demo set up and thought some of those Spyders belonged to people. I found it funny that he thought the 20 Spyders he said he saw equated to a convention, when I saw at least 3,000 Harleys and probably more. :D

BTW Hinkley is known as the place where the Buzzards (really Turkey Vultures) return to every March 15.

That's wild. They never leave here in TX.

I heard somewhere they are a protected species in NY and environs. Is that a correct statement?

Cruising around Chillicothe ylast night I passed a silver spyder on Western Ave going the other way. I honked and waved. I think now there are 2 Spyders in town.:2thumbs:

OK, Sorry!

I blew past someone on a Phantom Spyder just tonight at 8pm in the Williamstown, Massachusetts parking lot of Aubuchon. We were heading east.

(We did wave a lot, though.)

ID yourself please, :dontknow: so we can properly apologize!
