It appears there has been a lot of "performance testing" going on other places than just SpyderFest.
A new speed shop has opened in a small town very close to me, and they are doing some serious business with the young hooligans that like to run these country roads.
Out of curiosity, I stopped and talked to them a little bit about the possiblity of hooking Nitrous up on my Spyder. They were pretty busy, so we did not get into too many details about the whole process which has peaked my curiosity even further.
They stated they should be able to put a 2 pound can under the rear fender lid, and have it spray directly into the airbox. They seemed pretty confident that a "small shot", as they called it, would not be damaging to the stock pistons of the Spyder. They said the 2 pound can would give between 3-5 shots, and of course they could refill it right there.
I know to get maximum performance boost would probably require new, heavy duty, pistons and probably changing of the cams. However, would this be a decent enough performance boost just for playing around every once in a while?
I know curiosity killed the cat, I am just wanting to make sure it doesn't kill my Spyder.
