This blog is out of order but I just had to get this up while I was still thinking about it.
After leaving Corbin I headed north on the 101. I got to say it was one of the best rides to date, much of that was because of the new Corbin seat On the RT. Not only does it fit like a old pair of jeans but I absolutely love the door for the gas filler. I'll post a full review of the seat later, right now I only have about 150 miles on it but it's great.
As I'm cruising down the 101 I see a Goldwing pulling up on the RT. He was really checking it out and gave me the thumbs up and I returned the favor. I run GL1800Riders.com and it has over 26,000 members so I figured there was a good chance he was one of my members. I took out my camera and locked in the cruise control and started taking pics. He put on a little show for me by locking in his cruise control and then sitting in the passenger seat while he was going down the road. It looked so cool to see the bike going down the road with no driver. Unfortunately my stupid camera locked up and I didn't get any of those shots but I did get this one.
The 101 runs you downtown so I took a couple of pics at the lights I stopped at. I need to go back and spend a little more time there and really check it out but I was loosing daylight fast.
Here's a shot going over the bridge.
Now here's the great part. I pull up to take a shot looking down the bridge and there has a great parking spot next to another guy on a bike. He took a picture of me and I took one of him.
So then the real fun started. Pretty soon cars would pull up and folks would get out and they would go right to the RT and asked if they could take a picture with the Spyder. After awhile it was like this was part of the attraction. I would take their pics and then I started taking pictures of them taking pictures of the RT. I figure I could of made about 50 bucks if I charged a buck a pic. BRP would have loved this.
Here's a few of the people that I took pics of, I told them I would post it on the site.
I had a hard time getting out of there so I walked away from the RT and shot this video before I headed to Santa Rosa.
Can't wait for the next adventure and I must say I'm really starting to fall in love with this RT.
