Be careful. Some states limit the number of lights you can show forward.
Trust me, I have thought about this a lot. Not a problem for Nancy's GS, since I changed the fender tip lights to amber, but the LED accent lights, fender marker lights, headlights, and foglights certainly add up to more than four for the RTS. For that matter, adding foglights to a vehicle with quad headlights is a violation, too. Just shows how laws to address certain things, like 112 aircraft landing lights on the lightbar of your Jeep, can go askew when they are too simplified. Bottom line on the lights is to not use both sets of fogs at the same time, I guess...especially when traveling through small, Barney Fife towns.Well you know scotty, that is kind of true, EXCEPT BRP seems not to have cared about that when they made the new RT you drive around on.
The law calling out white light showing forward in those States does not call out anything about how bright they are just that they are white.
So you know those neat little LED white lights your RT has, well they make it have 6 white forward facing lights and if you count the WHITE fender tips, then you have 8 WHITE FORWARD FACING LIGHTS on the new RT, right from BRP.
The law, as I have ever seen it, usually says there can be 4 white forward facing lights. However it never states anything about their brightness, so fender tips or headlights, white is white.
So with 8 forward facing white lights on your new RT right out of the box, all I can say, Scotty, is....
I'll give you a real good price to take that illegal RT you can't ride off your hands, that is if you want to dump that illegal bike cheap.
Also companies like MOTOLight have been adding lights to many, many bikes for years. As a matter of fac, FL is one of those 4 light limit states. Yet ALL the Police patrol bikes in Daytona, both State and local police, had Motolights on them, bringing their total up to 5 forward facing lights.
Although it is a law on the books in some States, both BRP and the FL police don't seem to care about it much, nor do I think anyone would, unless you had the whole rooftop of your jeep lined with landing lights that would really blind someone.

Would you please post a photo taken during the day with the fog light turned off? Its hard to see in photo #2 you posted exactly what it looks like, what color the housing is, or exactly where it goes and how it mounts. Thank you.
