• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Homecoming Event

My wife loves Chicago. I might be able to pull this off. We'll have to wait and see how well it goes over.

It would be easy to make a spyder convoy of this one. East Coast spyders and Ontario Spyders can make their way across I-69 in Michigan, we can meet up and ride on through and across the state to 94 and pick up the rest of the Michigan convoy. From there we can hit any northern OH and IN spyders that want to spyder their way into Chicago together. Of course, we still need some very important details i.e. venue, exact dates etc. It will be nice, (if I don't have to work)

That may very well work for us. When Brian put in for vacation time we took a stab in the dark and went for June 21st through the 28th or something like that. Now, I have to see what happens with me. I have recently interviewed for two new jobs. If I get either of these, I won't be able to request time off yet but both allow for 3 day weekends, every other weekend. Will have to pray that the timing works out just right. I am hoping they will post some clear details in the very near future so exact plans can be made.

I'll miss you that week but someone needs to hold down the fort. :D

And for all the west coast folks - we can all meet up on I 80, it goes right from N.CA(Sacramento) to Chicago with incredible scenery along the way. Looking forward to hearing the dates. I will make this the start of my trip to upstate NY and Maine to see family - :2thumbs:
:spyder:

I can make this one! Just need to re-arrange my vacation. Count me in on the meeting you all in northern Indiana.

Cool, only a couple hundred miles. Now i've got to go, guess I better work on improving my riding in traffic skills. Usually when I go to CHI I travel on the EL, gotta love public transport.

Isn't there an old song that goes something like, "something so wrong, I don't wanna be right..." :D :D :D :D :ohyea: :ohyea:

Honey, I think that is, "if loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right..." But I will tell you, if I have to work, you are free to go without me, but here it the big but...Scotty are you listening?... You have to keep an eye on him...LOL Just having some fun back at ya honey.:2thumbs::joke:

Good thing he is easy to spot in a crowd...LOL!

Don't want to spoil this but should we not wait till we get the word from BRP. I have been waiting for another since I missed the first and was hoping it would be in the North East somewhere since it was so West in California last year or even again in Canada. From New Jersey to Chicago I think is about 800 miles and about 15 hours drive not all that bad if you trailer the spyder and that is how I would only think of it. End June might work for me and I do have a trailer for spyder so will see when the word come down the pipe line.

Same weekend as last year, during our anniversary.:2thumbs: I hope the dates on this are true,for..

We are planning a "Dudley-like" tour this summer from Seattle to Upper Michigan, then down south somewhere and back to Seattle. We should be able to make the event without any problems. Pat and Kiddo on da Spyder..me on the ST1100.

WOW! I have vacation June 21-28 !! :ohyea: I'm suppose to be helping my sisters [and husband] put a roof on my parents house........I wonder if I could sneak away!!!!????!!!!:D

I am going to see if I can make this one. It all depends on the timing and such for me and my work schedule. It would be cool to hook up with some fellow Spyder Lovers from the Southeast and plan a convoy up there as well. I would be ryding my Spyder to the event.

This information did come from BRP, as they stated it at the Daytona Owners Event. They said more details will come later, and it will probably be somewhat north of Chicago, as there is no real place for a good ryde in Chicago. :)
