• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Homecoming Event

Homecoming

Why do they call it a Homecoming event :hun:
The only time they should call it that is when it is in Valcourt
or one of the other MFG plants.
And anywhere else should be a Rallie just my 2 cents not worth a lot these days :doorag:

Last week in June.

That may very well work for us. When Brian put in for vacation time we took a stab in the dark and went for June 21st through the 28th or something like that. Now, I have to see what happens with me. I have recently interviewed for two new jobs. If I get either of these, I won't be able to request time off yet but both allow for 3 day weekends, every other weekend. Will have to pray that the timing works out just right. I am hoping they will post some clear details in the very near future so exact plans can be made.

I agree homecoming should be reserved for Valcourt. It's probably targeted for americans only.

Anybody know if there's one in Valcourt this year?

Homecoming is just the name they gave the event. First one was called that for a reason, but the event caught on so well they decided to continue it...with the same name. At the same time they decided to make it easier for folks in different parts of North America to visit and participate, so they decided to move it around. It is not for anyone specific, and Chicago is very accessible to a lot of Canadian riders. For anyone to snub the event because it is not in Valcourt, or not in their own back yard, seems silly to me. The Chicago event should be sure to draw a crowd. We'll be there, with any luck at all. Hope to see a lot of you there, too.

Would love to make it but will not have enough leave this year -- Surgery last month has eaten up all my leave and then some. Will be there in spirit with all who attend.

I wished I had gone to the 1st one in Valcourt---- and the 2nd one in California just wasn't going to happen unless I flew.

This is a great choice for middle-America -- accessible to many.

I just wonder WHERE in Chicagoland they are going to do this? Hopefully a bit out in the burbs.....

Wish we could go, I have family close by in Indianapolis. No vacation time left and I am still not convinced that the DPS is functioning right.

I'm going to circle the lasy week in June on my calendar. I made it to Gatlinburg, so I should be able to make it 2 1/2 hour to Chi town. Plus I should dp it more comfortably yhis year.
