• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Getting ready to go to the SE Ohio Spyder Rally. Did a quick wash of my Spyder. Checked tire pressure and adjusted as needed. Recovered from being in the heat. Went to Costco to top off gas. Got caught in a little rain just before I got home.

Dasmotorhead,

I try to work that into my life when I can. I am a very busy person.

I get it!

Since I retired, and now my wife has retired, we've been so darned busy it's insane. There's something we have to do every day.

I've no idea how we fitted it all in when we were working.

The nice thing now though is I don't have to worry about what day of the week it is. Things don't have to wait for the weekends.

I don't think we have to worry about rain much now until the winter. It's fire season instead.

Did go for pizza this evening for my birthday, and it's flag day too. Lots of flags, just for me. 67 and counting.

Lol

HI Mecsw500,

Yea, I know what you mean by being very busy. My to-do list is very long but I carve out time for myself and Spyder.

I know what you mean!
Same here.

Our weather and temps here in Vermont has been up/and down. One day the temps are in in the upper 90's with humidity and the next day the temps are in the upper 70's, & raining. It is summer time here now. But in 5 months it will be winter, and I will be getting the snowmobile ready for that season (Dec 15th, to April 15, depending on how much snow we get).

Mine is mainly a honey-do list.

Me, I can just ride somewhere and sit and read a book on my little iPad.

But apparently there are projects to be completed that are on some list, which I suspect forever changes, and I apparently cannot remember the contents of.

I got the bird bath out, put the bird food storage containers away, power washed the deck, filled the gas bottles for the grill and outside table flame effect. I also had to power wash the blood stains off the garage floor after I fell over the front steps and split my head open by smashing the big clay plant pots on the path. Then I had to go to Costco and get new tires for my son’s SUV.

Apparently I did well because I got a bowl of curried tofu and vegetables for dinner, my favorite.

Apparently tomorrow starts off with taking a certain someone to a movie I don’t remember the first episode of that I’ve apparently seen, so I’ll be totally confused at this one.

So, I’ve got music through my hearing aids set up for “Traffic, On the Road” and “Rory Gallagher European Tour” which should stop me from from getting nudged by falling asleep and snoring.

Yup, I resemble that!!

Aren't hearing aids that'll bluetooth to other devices such a wonderful thing?!? 😁

One of the things I like about this great forum is the similarities between me and so many of the other members. I also am continuously working through the never ending honey do list as well as trying to find time to ride and tinker with the Spyder. I've been power washing the back patio in preparation for resealing it, sanding the front porch roof also prepping for refinishing, taking care of the pool and various small repairs around the house. As far as the Spyder goes, I'm prepping it for trailering my RT 622 trailer. I've had it for 2 years but needed to wrap it and now I'm finding that I need to replace the trailer harness. Parts on order, should be done in the next week or so and that will be another post about it.

Tightened up a loose muffler clamp holding the OEM muffler/RLS cat delete. It "was" tight initially, but I must not have had it seated correctly.

Oh yes. Currently using Phillips 9050s. I get them from Costco. Free hearing tests and decent prices. I don’t know if you have Costco down under? Even get my bifocals from Costco. Get my gas/petrol from Costco. And my Tofu. I live in Costco these days.

Can’t wear hearing aids on the bike though as putting on, or taking off my helmet launches them off into the ozone. I just turn my helmet speakers up a bit instead.
